Would RecommendBe careful when purchasing these items or the railing that goes along with it. Purchased 8 of these and 5 (maybe 6) rail kits. From past experience, I knew the rail kits are missing hardware half the time so checked those before leaving. 2 were missing the hardware. Looking back on the shelves they had about 5 more in stock and 3 of those were missing hardware. Took the 2 good ones, informed Lowes and left. Of the 8 posts I purchased 6 were taped up and all of the taped up ones were missing the ...
Good option for a below average budget.
Would RecommendSetup was a bit complicated for a first-timer like me but I think they simplified it about as much as they could. The vinyl is sturdy enough but I would not recommend an adult sit on the rail.

Georgeous Cover; Works with steel post
With a metal base, this would not cover the 4x4 and the base at the bottom. However, it worked perfectly with their steel base and Deckorators post support option. That's about 4x the cost of just a chunk of wood and a steel mount *but* it worked perfectly. However, the wood supports are pretty clear about not cutting down the 4x4 to make it fit.
