Really nice!

I love the look of this copper top solar light! It just the right amount of class to my porch. There's not much light that actually comes from it, but I didn't buy it to be able to see; just for looks.

Difficult to activate.

My two units had insulating strips preventing battery contact. However both of those cap lights had the strip entirely inside the unit. I had to pry them apart to remove the strips. These strips should have extended outside the case so they could be removed without prying off the copper lid.

Solar light does not work

I bought this postcap because it is solar BUT it does not work

***Biggest Waste of Money***

I purchased 15 of these solar post cap lights around May of this year and currently I have 4 that are not working. Within two weeks times the solar panels had discolored to a milky color where moisture and gotten to them. After the first one stopped working I took the top of to change the battery when I found that there was a large amount of moisture in the cap itself. flawed product

I purchased 4 of these solar post caps along with the same company's regular cooper post caps and the solar caps were for accents at the corners of the deck. First issue is the two caps sit a different heights so if you are putting up new railings you have to alter the post lengths to have the different caps sit with the same reveal over the cap rail. We bought 7 of these and only 1 lit up, we didn't read the directions and just put them up, realized that you have to take the brass part off and pull a tab away to activate them.

Very nice accent lights

I bought 8 of these for my deck posts. I really like them! They all worked right out of the box but you have to remove the little piece of tape between battery posts and battery and let them charge up for a day. They do not throw out a lot of light but are more of an accent than a "light up your deck" type of light, but it really looks cool at night and does put a soft glow of light around the deck. Low Quality

This product looks great out of the package, and works great - for a few weeks to a few months. Of the 4 I bought, 1 went bad in 2 months. I checked everything and found it was the electric circuitry in it that went bad, not the bulb or battery. They have a "limited" warranty according to their online info but there's nothing about it in the package itself. I'm going to try to take mine back, so we'll see. Lights suddenly stop working

I have been absolutely loving these for my porch, they were great, but after a month they have started dying out. Out of 6, I have exchanged two that just stopped working within a few days of each other. I have tried changing the battery, but that didn't work, and there is plenty of sun here in Florida to keep it charged. They feel kind of cheap, and there is rust around the bulbs inside the lamp.

solar lights do not work

We will be returning the lights. Luckily we kept the boxes. We have had them on our deck for over a week and the lights do not work. Since we had cut the tops of the posts off, we will have to replace them but will buy cheaper ones with no lights. After we bought these, I checked reviews and found that many other people had the same problem. I don't know why they are still sold.

Love the solar light

I purchased this post cap for the top of my cedar sign post. It produces more light than you would think. I really love how this product looks and adds some additional lighting to the front of my home

I purchased 4, installed them, let them charge 1 week now and they do not work!! Not even a faint lite!

Failed to meet expectations.

The lights have been sitting in the sun since we bought them. They have never produced enough light to be useful. If I had kept the boxes, I would return them.
