Heads stripped out easily
SOFT metal. Stripped more than I installed.
Would Not RecommendThese look nice once installed, however the screw heads are extremely soft. Installed with Trex boards, stripped at least 1 for every 1 installed. Tried the included bit, and every other combo of drill setting and bit I could, as well as generous pilot holes with no luck. Stripped at least half the box.

Tends to strip easily

Fastens Trex fascia boards very well
Would RecommendWorked well for fastening Trex fascia boards to exposed deck joists. I never did figure out why the threads near the top of the screw were reversed threads.
One of my favorites
Would RecommendLove these screws. Use them for all my deck repairs. Use 2-1/2 for 3/4 decking and 3" for 1-1/2 decking. Like the small head and the way the reverse threads pull down any wood fibers. These also work great for toe-nailing. The smaller head countersinks without leaving a huge hole

Will be nice match for Trex deck color
Would RecommendThese were to go with “toasted sand” color Trex decking which I thought would be more tan but when delivered it was pretty dark so will need to exchange these for brown screws. I like the fave that they should clean up the hole of the synthetic decking and will sort of match the color of the decking that I’m using for the top of a trestle base patio table, and that they have a square head to make them easier to drive.

Would RecommendWorks perfectly with the trex system. Precision is needed and these screws are a must.
Goof quality
Would RecommendGood decking screws, make sure you use a high quality bit. I used my older bit and it was stripping the head, then I switched to a brand new DeWalt driver bit and that one worked like a charm. Make sure to predrill composite decking before using screws.
