Would RecommendI purchased this product as a quick fix to an exposed PVC irrigation pipe that was sandwiched between two fittings so a traditional cut and replace section would not work. I figured this might buy me enough time to be able to rebuild the piping, but it has surpassed that already. I cleaned the pipe, and wrapped the tape being sure to stretch it according to directions and it has held tight with no leaks or bulges (45 psi water pressure). Just a note: if you are using it in a tight location where...

product failed
Would Not RecommendI Followed the instructions on the package for a 3/4" domestic copper water pipe. It failed. I removed it and tried again. Again it failed. When I purchased it I was skeptical, I will return it. It was easy to install, but it failed. The value was good if it worked

Works Great
Would RecommendMy dishwasher's upper arm water connection to the spray head was split. I did order the parts, but decided to go to Lowes to see if I could come up with a temporary fix until the parts arrived. One of the clerks in the plumbing department recommended this silicone pipe wrap. I wrapped the crack and used a hose clamp to hold the water connection on to the spray head. It has been at least three times the wife has used the dishwasher and the tape looks perfect.

Hard to work with
Would Not RecommendThe thickness of the tape makes it a bit difficult to work with around cramped spaces. It does do the job it's intended to do. I like the thinner tape better but not a bad product.

Pipe Wrap
Would RecommendI used this product a few years ago and thought I would try use it again. My drain pipe has a hole and my brother cannot fix it for a few days. It didn't work as well for me this time because it kept breaking instead of wrapping around it tight.

Great product with a quick fix
Would RecommendI bought this knowingly after installing a sink, I'd probably have a leak. Sure enough one on the strainers was leaking. I pulled this out, started away from the leak, stretched out per instructions, wrapped bottom of strainer. 1 minute fix, to a job that would probably would have taken an hour and required an extra set of hands. It's the real deal.

Pipe wrap tape
Would RecommendIt does what it is supposed to do, seal non-pressurized pipes, like drains. If it is used for any leaks under pressure, it will fail..
