What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally effective at filling small holes and gaps in wood, but has some notable drawbacks. It dries and hardens very quickly, making it challenging to apply smoothly. The packaging can be inconsistent, with some cans only partially full. While suitable for basic repairs, the filler may not be ideal for larger jobs or shaping, and the quality can be variable. Users recommend working quickly and having acetone on hand to thin the product if needed.

Would RecommendWorks well. Be careful if your aren’t in a hurry it will set up before you are finished. For me, this was the selling point.
Easy to use
Would RecommendA bit crumbly when applying but hardens well and is easy to use. I just had a small repair where my fence bolt had striped the wood over time. I filled the old hole, let it dry and replaced the bolt and it has worked perfectly.
It's weatherproof
Would Not RecommendWe bought several cans to fill our shed last Fall. This Spring it is crumbling. Big waste of money.
Planter Update
Would Recommendworked well at filling the holes in my cedar planter box

Would RecommendPlastic Wood is a very good product that can be used to repair both small and large areas of damaged wood. For larger repairs, it does take more time to properly fill deeper gaps, often requiring multiple applications. However, once it hardens, it performs very well and can be sanded to a smooth finish. I’ve also had great success with color matching. Plastic Wood takes stain nicely and works well with both oil-based and acrylic paints.
Only for patching and light sanding

Would RecommendIt works great.
Acetone make application much easier w/ less waste
Would RecommendLid does not close (reseal) properly for some reason. Acetone should be kept on hand as a thinner for the product to thin the product to ease application. (sort of like adding a small amount of water to sheetrock mud...). As a wood filler, it works great. It dries quickly and can be resoftened (if needed) with acetone... so there is very little waste.
Good wood filler
Would RecommendGood wood filler
Not a bad product but it is dry off the start
Would Not RecommendProduct works well, but out of the jar it was fairly dry. Returned the first one that I had and the second one was dry as well. Just doesn’t apply really well because of how dry it was, but it does do the job.
