What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this exterior patching compound for exceptional durability, ease of application, and versatility across diverse surfaces including fiber cement, vinyl, wood, stucco, and metal. Reviewers consistently describe it as creamy, ready-to-use, and simple to spread and smooth with minimal sanding. Many note repairs have held up for years through storms and weathering where previous products failed. The quick drying time allows painting the same day, and users report achieving smooth finishes by dampening surfaces after application. A few mention storage consistency issues, but most consider it a reliable, high-performance solution.

ok could be better
Would Not RecommendWe would all probably use caulking for patching if there was nothing available in a tub,However caulking shrinks. And thats the problem with DAP Platinum Patch, it shrinks and will melt if not painted before a rain. On the pro side you can treat it like drywall compound. If it becomes a little stiff in the container just add a few drops of water and stir. It slims well and can be finished smooth with a damp pro sponge.I have alot of work to do and no time for more layers to bulge the repair.I...

Best On Market!
Would RecommendThis is the best patching compound to use on outdoor projects hands down. It stands up to the elements here in the Midwest. I have tried other patching material and they have all FAILED in 6 months or less - not this one! Our handyman used it on project here and saw the results - he now uses it as his go to patching material!

Patched hardboard siding
Would RecommendI bought this product several years ago for I can't even remember what. I needed to paint my garage, but it had several water damaged spots on the hardboard siding. I found this and patched the areas and it worked great. It was a bit dry due to age, but went on easily. I plan to get more for the rest of the garage.
Waterproof and Strong
Would RecommendEasy to use. Dries hard as a rock. Can be sanded. For deeper fills, best to apply & let dry in layers.
