Would Not RecommendI usually use drywall compound, but a friend had this left over so I gave it a try. Let it dry overnight. Next day, VERY hard to sand by hand (I even used an 80 grit sanding block). I’ll have to get my orbital sander to get this smooth.

Vinyl Spackling
Would RecommendThis product was perfect for what I needed it for. I was repairing a faux leather sofa that we had in storage for a while. The sofa was in plastic but the climate controlled storage elements cause the faux leather to peel. We use the Vinyl Spackling mix with water to apply a thin layer to stop the peel and applied leather paint to match the chair color. This product stop the peeling.
Incorrectly described as interior/exterior
The Lowe's website product description says (twice!) that this sparkle is for "interior/exterior" and "interior and exterior use." The use guide linked to the product description says the same. HOWEVER, the product container itself says it is for "interior" and the DAP website says it is for interior use only. So is it for exterior use?????? Seems doubtful.

Vinyl Spackle
Would RecommendLike to use for small sheet rock repair. Dries faster than sheet rock mud and smoother if you put a little liquid soap in it.

Use it to patch a 2in hole in the wall I made to fish a wire though, also using it to patch small nail screw holes. Why pay more when this works just as well.

Works good for filling very small holes
Would RecommendI find that this product dries quickly and works to patch small nail holes in drywall. For larger areas or to skim over roughed up areas of the walls I’d rather use drywall compound. The spackle doesn’t seem to sand as finely. Instead it tends to break up.
