Would Not RecommendDAP DryDex 1-Gallon 60-Minutes Set Time Premixed Lightweight Drywall Joint Compound is supposed to turn from Pink to White when it is dry. HOWEVER, it turned from Pink to dingy, faded ecru off-white! It looks terrible and has to be sanded and re-painted!

Would Not RecommendI have used Dap spackle before with no issues, so when I needed to patch a hole in the ceiling, I tried this. It is an awful, defective product. It never dried. Even when I let it sit overnight, and it turned fully white, it was still moist and crumbly. Don’t buy this. Buy an actual joint compound and save yourself the time and money. Dap should be ashamed to sell this.

Would RecommendUsed this product for drywall repairs during room refurbishment. After reading the negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience. Bottom line up front: I love this product! After using 'hot' mud over mesh tape to repair settlement cracks, I used this for the skim/feathering coats. Adherence wasn't an issue and it went on smoothly. Dry time was fast, and I've experienced no issues covering the repairs with primer and latex paint.
