I had an old one that I loved. I can use my attachments from the old one on this new one. I am quite pleased.

Power cable snapped, + finiky thing

Worked okay for 3 years, pretty tempermantal getting it to start at times sometimes took 4-5 full cycles of trying to start it (with no apperant issues). The carburetor is fairly easy to get to, and to clean. Now the power cable snapped inside the trigger handle (which is all internal). Thats the nail in the coffen for it. When is did work it was pretty powerful but the middle handle would spin no matter how much I cranked down the nut and bolt. Warrenty is good for 2 years... So do I spend the ...

No mixing gas at all, twice the power

Has plenty of power and starts usually after the first pull, love that mixing gas is a thing of the past with it as well, and can easily break it down to be able to haul it in a car or anything. This is one of the best weed eaters I've purchased.

Ashamed of craftsman

I grew up with my father who was a devoted craftsman user. Probably well over $80,000 in tools. This is by far the worst piece of craftsman I have ever owned or used. I understand you want to hire engineers with their fancy degrees and change things that make it seem like they are making good use of their degree. But please for the love of God, stop. Please hire real world pre 1990s working men with common sense who actually want something to work and last you years. The only thing I can think o...

Length of the shaft is perfect, four cycle engine is quieter, enough power for home trimming uses.

Have 2, one a pole saw, one a weed eater. Both less than 30 hours combined. Both quite working. No spark. Junk equipment. Don't buy. They are cheap for a reason.

Lowes doesn't even accept returns on Craftsman.

Craftsman has become so bad Lowes does not except returns. You have to go through craftsman's service, take it to a craftsman mechanic who determines if it was preventable and then after all that you can take it to lowes. You have to front the mechanic costs and hope Craftsman will reimburse you. I returned this weed eater 2 times already over a single summer until they changed policy this year.
