Have spent more time fighting the weed eater than weed eating grass. Unreliable fuel system and now unreliable line spooling. Very frustrating. Warranty claim incoming.

SAFETY ISSUE - Fuel tank falls off

During simple use around the yard, the fuel tank fell off, the fuel lines broke away and covered me with gasoline. I have only owned the edger for little over a month before this happened. I purchased it from Lowes. But Lowes won’t allow me return it to them. Craftsman have been giving me the runaround trying to resolve this issue.

Unreliable

Bought less than 2 years ago the pull string function stopped working called for warranty help they sent me to a store that no longer services warranties and said this happens to them all the time. I’m stuck with this model and 4 accessories that I have purchased for it so $800 investment and now can’t use any accessories since motor broke and awful warranty guidance. Love the concept but execution not great.

Used 5 times and timmer head broke off

On the 5th use of this trimmer the head completely sheared off. I tried to return it to Lowe’s, but the manager said I would have to call Craftsman. The Craftsman warranty is joke. After long waits and their automated phone system hanging up on you over and over again. I finally got ahold of someone who was very quick to not want to help and said because this is an “outside warranty product” I would have to contact the outside warranty department. 4 cycle beast

I bought this weed wacker for the second time and it's been a great investment. I will always buy these 4 cycle trimmers.

Piece of Junk

I brought one of these and it would not start so Lowes exchanged it for another one. It did not last a year before it would not start. I had it looked at by 2 different people who work on small engines. They could not get it to start, one called it a piece of junk! Do not try and call the number Lowes gives you as it is useless! Do not email Craftsman as it is useless also. DO NOT BUY CRAFTSMAN WEED EATER!!!

Didn't get one season out of it. Bought in earlier summer. 2 months in screws holding motor to shaft coming out. 4th month clutch broke and was seeping oil from case, also notic power dropped.

READ AND TRUST BAD REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING

Purchased in July 2025 with several of the attachments (spent $600) and the recoil assembly broke on the trimmer 13 months after purchase. Lowes should not sell such crap and definitely do not stand by the products they sell to their customers. Craftsman's customer service is just as bad. We were referred to two different shops for repairs, and they stopped working on Craftsman weed eaters. We will never shop at Lowes again or buy Craftsman. What happened to good customer service?
