Recommended! High quality and reliability. Cuts through like butter, does not jam. Good battery life cycle. Very satisfied. We recently cleared a lot of storm damage, multiple tree limbs down some, very thick. Cuts right through them. No gasoline to mess with, no extension cords. Portable. Convienient.

Impressive Chainsaw

This is the first chainsaw I have owned. I used it to trim and prune some small trees around our church and it was solid. Cut with power and the 4.0 battery it came with is solid. A very good chainsaw for small jobs.

I've had this unit over a month or so and it is so much more convenient than a gas fueled chainsaw. This past storm lots of limbs came down and this V20 chainsaw cuts through like butter! I have so far cut through 4 inch branches and under with no trouble. Self-oiling is convenient. Battery life was about a full hour of continuous hard work through thick branches. Gutless garbage

No power, overheated after one thick cut. Definitely going to return and get a different brand and ensure it is gas. The craftsman sawzaw and drill were crappy too. Gonna have to upgrade to a better more durable brand. Craftsman is inexpensive but not worth buying new tools every few months.

If you are just trimming trees or cutting down small ones this is definitely worth the buy

Great little chain saw!

I purchased this little Craftsman electric chain saw to cut down a few trees lining our driveway that were not doong so well. Each tree was about 12 feet tall and about 11 inches around. I was able to down both trees, trill off the many branches and cut one tree into small sections on a single charge of the battery. I’m very impressed with this great little chain saw!

Leaks Like a Sieve

Bought this today. Charged the battery and it cuts fine. Leaking chain oil all over creation. Thought I may have something between the chain oiling mechanism and the bar so i cleaned it. Leaking even more. Back to the store and will exchange for a non-Craftsman product.

Nice little unit, could be a bit lighter!

Nice little unit, could be a bit lighter! The drive sprocket gets clogged pretty easy but the quick release helps with clearing the debris. Hope this lasts for years to come?

Battery Powered Chain Saw

I needed a chain saw for cleaning up around my yard, but I didn’t want to get the electrical cable out or worry about cranking a gas fired chain saw, so I bought this saw. It does the job. It has all the safety items on it. The chain can be replaced when needed. I like it.

Fairly good little chainsaw

This Craftsman V20 battery-powered chainsaw is pretty good for cutting smaller, softwood branches and trunks. I used it to cut out parts of a hard old cedar stump and it was under-powered for that task. Cutting stumps is like cutting solid steel, so I wasn't surprised the saw couldn't handle it. The Craftsman uses bar & chain oil quickly, so keep an eye on the reservoir. I had to switch to a bigger Kobalt 80v MAX chainsaw to get the stump cut down. Great little saw

Needed to trim up some storm damage, but didn't want to buy gas-powered. Was concerned about the 12-inch bar/chain. But worked great for what I needed to do.

CRAFTSMAN cordless chainsaw

I only used it once after Dorian storm knocked down tree in my front yard. It works well and for decent tree branches. It’s a little bit challenging when cutting bigger branches. So far I’m happy with the product.

Light Duty

This is a decent saw for light work. I was able to cut through branches that were 10" thick. I would say the biggest down fall is that you will only get about 20 minutes of heavy use before the battery dies. The battery takes quite a while to recharge. Fortunately for me I have several batteries as I have a large selection of V20 tools. I have seen in other reviews that there is no replacement chain available but I'm not sure thats true. I think I saw were Lowe's carries a 12" chain from Oregon....

Sorry, I like the other tools in the series

Bought the tool after I used the other tools in the series and liked them. Charged the battery and filled it with chain oil. Tried it out and no power, no motor. Put the battery in another tool and it worked fine. Tried it again in the chainsaw and no luck. Help
