Ratings & Reviews for Corona ComfortGEL 37-in Telescoping Carbon steel Bypass Lopper
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these loppers for exceptional cutting performance, with carbon steel blades that cut through branches effortlessly and maintain sharpness through dozens of uses. The telescoping handle is frequently highlighted as transformative, adding reach and leverage for hard-to-reach branches while locking securely. Many commend the ergonomic design, including ComfortGEL grips and soft rubber handles that reduce hand fatigue during extended use. However, a notable group reports structural failures at the handle-to-blade joint or along the extension mechanism under moderate pressure, with some experiencing breakage after only a few uses. Despite these durability concerns, most customers find the cutting performance and reach justify the investment.

Would RecommendMy wife likes to trim the shrubs and smaller trees every spring. Previous loppers often are too long for a lot of low jobs. This telescoping model gives her a lot of flexibility to work at any height of shrubs and trees in our yard. The Carbon Steel is nicely sharp as well.

Very poorly made
Would Not RecommendOn my very first cut the handle bent. The handles were fully extended, and the branch was only 1/2" thick. In my experience Corona has always been a very good brand. Their saws and pruners are great. I have a Corona lopper with extendable handles that is 15 years old, and they are still going strong. These loppers are complete garbage. DO NOT BUY!

Just ok
Would Not RecommendNot the best clippers. They don’t appear to be very sharp so it’s hard to cut branches

Broke on first use
Would Not RecommendLook for Paul’s review from 2022. Same thing happened to my loppers. I extended the arms to reach a branch and they broke like cheap plastic.
