What Customers Are Saying

The product is versatile and convenient for hanging pictures and frames without damaging walls. It is praised for its easy installation, ability to hold up to 5 lbs, and the fact that it leaves no holes or marks when removed. Customers appreciate the flexibility to reposition frames and the security of safely displaying their valuables. However, some have experienced issues with the adhesive failing over time, causing frames to fall and break. A few also found the hanger too large for certain frames or projects. Overall, the product seems suitable for lighter frames, but may not be suitable for heavier or more specialized hanging needs.

Excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This command hook is great for hanging pictures that have the metal hanger with teeth screwed onto the back of the picture. It is basically shaped like a nail. Like all command products it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying these since they first came out and swear buy them. I never had to nail a hole in my last apt and landlord was impressed by the amount of pictures vs holes that were patched. I completely swear by these

A huge waste of money

Would Not Recommend

I spent over $75 dollars on all different types of picture hanging Command Strips because I just brought a house and didn’t want to ruin my walls. Epic Fail! These things are not damage free and half of them don’t even stick to the wall when you are hanging something UNDER the weight requirement. I have hung things just to find it on the floor the next morning. Complete waste of money

Works well

I used the Universal Picture Hanger, followed the directions & the canvas print was hanging nicely. Now, I did use the two sets of mini strips (stabilizing strips). So, how would I remove them if necessary? The instructions only show how to remove the main strip/hook. Thanks.

Great, perfect with improvements

I use these sticky nails to hang the two calendars in my house. The diameter of the nail is perfect for calendars and I don't have to poke any holes in the wall! However, I wonder if it would be possible to make the nail head screwable? One calendar I have has metal eyelets that I have to take out each month in order to fit over the nail head. The other calendar I also have to rip in order to fit it over the nail head. I would have also liked to use this product to hang my metal spice rack but ...

Failed, ruined frame+scratched walls

Would Not Recommend

I came home from work today to a broken picture frame and scratched wall after the Command Universal Picture Hanger peeled off from my wall. I framed painting was well under the suggested 5-pound limit for this product. The picture had been hanging for 6 months without issue until today. I followed all product instructions. I'm very disappointed and unimpressed with this product. It failed.

Who writes your instructions?

Would Not Recommend

I was hanging a 4lb picture with the Sawtooth Nail Hanger. The instructions are totally wrong. The colors on the instructions do not match the products. This made me vary wary of using the hanger, so I returned it. I suggest you have a professional write your instructions.

Great product.

I've used these to hang lots of pictures as well as custom framed artwork and a host of other things. I have also used them to hang china plates on a wall in the bedroom. I have used several different styles for different purposes. Each package shows a MAXIMUM weight the hook will support. DO NOT exceed this weight limit. The hooks must not be loaded for at least 1 hour after placing on the wall as the directions say. Since I don't like to continually straighten pictures, I usually use two hooks...

Removal failure

Would Not Recommend

I used 2 of these to hang a small shelf. They held up okay for 10 months. However, when I attempted to remove them, per instructions pulling straight down on the adhesive tab, the the tab broke off behind the hanger on both of them. Had to pull them off the wall, along with the paint.

Love how they hang lightweight photos and art.

Would Recommend

I have had boot camp graduation pictures of our three boys on the wall for over a year. No problems with them. I had them up when we were in Florida (i.e.; humidity), for even longer. Again, no problems. The only thing I do differently than your instructions say is that I wait 24 hours before hanging my pictures. Now I have a dilemma. I have a very large and very heavy picture to hang. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that I can not, based on your own information on the webs...

be careful when reading instructions!

Would Not Recommend

We bought these today to hang an awkward panoramic print. Initially thrilled to find these hangers...until we read the directions. The photo and colors didn't match so I came to the site to get some clarification. After reading the reviews, it's no wonder that many reviewers are saying that they don't work. The directions on the package and directions online are completely different (see photos). Am assuming the online directions are correct as they make more sense?! Neither one explains the sma...

These do not work at all. I have tried hanging multiple pictures with these and each time they have come crashing down within a few hours and have almost completely ruined one of the frames I have been trying to hang.

Great for picture frames, but difficult to remove

Would Recommend

I was happy because this product performed the way it was advertise. My picture was perfectly secured on the wall. But I had to move one day and tried to remove the strips but couldn't. I don't want to force it and cause a hole in the wall. I wish there is an instruction on how to remove it.
