Love the French Doors

I love the French Doors on the Refrigerator and the ways I can organize the shelves. The problem I have is the Freezer. It is smaller than the one I had before and I am having trouble with the storage.

Trim is too fragile

I love this cabinet depth refrigerator/freezer combo. I love GE Apliances in general and have the whole kitchen suite plus a washer and dryer from them. I did remove one star because the trim around the doors, especially on the freezer, has broken off. It’s very fragile. I think the design or the material composition of the trim is at fault.

Generous top refrigerator

Just set it up . Top refrigerator is generous size. The freezer is in the smaller side . For our cottage and will be perfect . Not plugged in as of yet, so can’t comment on anything else .

GR Refrigerator

I have replaced my 15 years old LG with this item. Not impressed with the internal layout and options - it runs and cools , but I doubt it will last me 15 years like the LG. Cheap production -

Poor water and ice functionality

This is the only appliance I haven't had to service in 3 years, so 3 stars for that and the external design. The functionality however is awful. 1. The inside water dispenser is so poorly designed. One glass of cold water per hour. And good luck not injuring your thumbs if you need to fill a water bottle. There's no press and release so you have to constantly hold the button PLUS hold your cup at a very awkward angle as the doors keep hitting you to close. You have to be an acrobat practi...

Do not recommend this fridge

GE fridge, Model : GWE19JSLSS The plastic of the door holders and the egg holder crack very easily, definitely a poor quality. The on the front door that were rusting. I am the only one using this fridge, and I don't know how it will stand 4 or more people using it. The plastic components would be all cracked in no time.

Not for me

My fridge door has no suction and moisture is collecting on the inner fold of the door. We had to turn off the ice maker cause the ice cubes were wet and form one big slab of ice. The troubleshoot page in the.mamual does not have any information related to these problems. The fridge looks nice but the counter depth cheats you of space

So far so good.

I've only had it 3 weeks. Very happy with it. It's quiet and efficient.

BAD interior/exterior design features

Hope mechanically it lasts, because its functionality and BAD color concept if horrible. (1) Interior, there are not enough supports so can't arrange side draws too well. On Rt door there's a tinly mostly hidden shelf not too usable if one wants to store wine, milk bottles in shelf above. I place painters tape on necks of the short bottles/jars of items in that shelf to remind me items are there. Bottle w/ longish neck there prevent door from closing. PURE GARBAGE

I just received my third GE Refrigerator in approximately 18 months. Prvious two could not be repaired, current refrig smelled when I opened the door after it cooled. Each day it gets worse and makes me sick to smell the fumes.

Great refrigerator

We just had the refrigerator installed today. It fits perfectly and, so far, we are very pleased with it. We need a French Door, White, counter depth refrigerator to match our other appliance and countertops. There are not a lot of options and the GE products was highly recommended

Awful under-appliance lighting

AWFUL LIGHTING on a beautiful appliance. I recently bought a suite of Café appliances, including this microwave/hood combo. Seems like a fine appliance EXCEPT for the under-appliance lighting. A single halogen bulb is included, which provides limited light and extreme heat. This is GE’s Cadillac brand and they didn’t include LED lighting? The lighting is worse than the 20-year old model I’m replacing. Halogen…really??? So extremely disappointed in GE engineering…a huge “miss” on this one…and som...

Screws were bent when put together at my home and drawers would not open and inside of refrigerator on left was cracked, I did not see this until the mover s left

The water dispenser inside

We love our new refrigerator. Our old ge was 25 years old so we were proactive in buying new one. It has so much more room and we love all the features.

GE Cafe Refrigerator

Great installation. We love the appearance. The interion lighting is superior to all the units we looked at. The compressor is smooth running with very little noise. Happy we bought it. Jim Ridgway Fort Worth, Texas

Impressive

Beautiful fridge. My first French door appliance. I am impressed with the amount of space available. The unit is smaller than my previous model. Freezer space is tight but not too much of an issue as there are only 2 of us. Quick to cool and so far functioning well. I appreciate that the front is magnetized!
