Poorly design due to not having back lit panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE CONTROL PANEL IS NOT BACK LIT, AND IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO USE AT NIGHT. YOU HAVE TO TURN ON THE KITCHEN LIGHTS, AND WHEN YOU USE THE SURFACE LIGHT, IT IS NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEE THE CONTROL PANEL. VERY POOR DESIGN!

Great controls, look and capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was a breeze. Template and directions easy to follow. Controls are simple, as not a fan for everything digital. Just enough standard buttons for what we use most. Design and look are outstanding. Stainless fits in with other appliances, and the round handle is a nice touch.

Quality control ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the microwave installed by professional installers from the appliance store where we bought it, and on first use, it made a loud buzzing sound wherever it was turned on. The sound stopped when you pressed on the bottom of the oven, so it was maybe a loose plate. I removed a panel to access the underneath but couldn’t pinpoint the source of the sound. However, when I reinstalled the plate, the buzzing no longer occurred. Hopefully that’ll...

Cafe over the range micro wave

Strong ventilation . Very smart appearance especially when matched with range. Great inside capacity. Plenty of cooking options which all work very welk

Beautiful Cafe Microwave

I love my new Cafe microwave. The bass on handle compliments my existing Cafe appliances..it also gives off beautiful lighting at night.

Looks nice

Haven’t had a chance to use this microwave yet, just installed! We’re going with all Cafe. Love our 4 door fridge.

Its all about quality and style

Love the design. Wanted a style with a handle which this does. So far so good. Have had it for less then a week. But our last microwave lasted 18 years...expect the same from this Don't use any "fancy" features such as convention or air fry so this model is perfect for us

black looks good functions less so

Because it is black t is difficult to see the controls and I am never sure if the interior is really clean

Perfect for us

Doesn't have as many features as other models but is exactly what we wanted and use. Why spend more and not use the expensive model features

Difficult Controls

The controls are terrible, You almost need a hammer to activate the buttons. Complaints have been made for years about this problem and nothing has been done to rectify it. I am disappointed . Microwaves for half the price have touch controls.

The microwave has unique features and very stylish

Poorly engineered control panel.

The control panel is poorly engineered. There is no back light. Text is hard to read without direct light. The control button are not touch sensitive. You have to press hard and firm. Bad combination; hard to read controls and having to press firmly. I wish we had not purchased this microwave.

Beautiful looking

Love it so far, but warning should be put on it however about the clearance needed to open the door. Our previous over the range microwave had no problem with door clearance. This one needed at least 1/2 inch extra to open the door. Hubby ended up pulling the cabinets to reconfigure them and make space. And he still has to do the venting for the fan jnto the attic space. But so far working great!

Beautiful GE Cafe over the range microwave

This is a beautiful microwave and it works very well, my only reason for giving four stars is that when we open and close the door there's a slight rattle noise and after closing it there's a slight echo, which makes it feel a fragile and that it may not last very long.

Gets the job done

I had to replace my 14 year old / 2011 Café microwave and decided to go with this one. I just didn't find a knob on the outside of a microwave to be very appealing. I would have rather had the higher end features but the knob was a deal breaker. I defrost some things, soften and melt butter and cheeses and reheat coffee in a microwave. Very few things actually get cooked in here. That is what I have a Café gas stove for. And if I ain't cooking on the stove then I am probably outside smoking or g...
