What Customers Are Saying
The drill bit performs well for some tile types like travertine and marble, but struggles with harder tiles like porcelain. Its durability is inconsistent, with some users reporting it lasting through multiple holes and others finding it dulling or breaking after just a few uses. Proper tool selection and drilling technique are important, as using a hammer drill and going slowly and steadily seems to yield the best results.

Would RecommendAfter buying two Rapcon bits and burned up a cheap 4x watt hammer drill, I bought this bit and a 7.8W hammer drill and things were much better. This bit went through conglomerate concrete like it was butter compared to the Rapcon. The better drill helped but I don't think it played a major role. The Rapcon's were having major trouble with the stones in the concrete on the cheap drill.
I don’t typically need to drill through tile
Would RecommendI don’t usually need to drill through tile, but this does the job. I used a medium pressure and sometimes a lot when it just seemed to be doing nothing. It does however takes a long time, but none of my tiles broke. I drilled 4 holes and the first one was the shortest time, the last being the longest to drill. Seemed to get dull, but still slowly drilled through the tile.

Not impressed
Would Not RecommendNot impressed. Used it to drill one hole through 1/2 inch Porcelain tile and it was dulled, the tip was gone. Couldn't use it anymore. Wen back to my Bad Dog universal bits which finished the project.

Buy once, Cry once, it was worth the extra money
Would RecommendThe tile was unexpectedly hard and difficult to drill I tried numerous bits and bought this one. Worth the money, smooth a butter.

Enemy of tile!
Would RecommendI’ve had to drill several holes through a tile floor in my laundry room, to move th washer catch pan plumbing, and to run a propane gas line for my dryer. The diamond blade hole saws I had would never even have gotten STARTED without using this little baby to drill the pilot holes first! Use lots of water from a spray bottle and this thing will make short order of 3/8 inch tile and 3/8 inch concrete-like base!

Only good for about 3 holes!!!
Would Not RecommendAs stated above, only good for 3 holes. I dipped in cold water after 10-15 seconds of low speed use but still only got 3 holes out of it. If you have more than three holes to drill, better buy more than one but. I had 17 holes to drill so ended up buying 6. At $12-$13 each, very disappointed... Plan accordingly.

Tip failedpretty quickly
Would Not RecommendI was told at the store that this would work for floor tile. It did not. The package says for natural stone, so maybe I shouldn't have listened. Anyway, I did get one hole drilled. The tip burned out (even though I kept it wet) and I did not get a second hole drilled. It may work fine on natural stone, but don't expect it to work on floor tile.

Use water with this!
Would RecommendBought the first bit and got thru 5 holes on my ceramic tile, bit was ruined! Bought a 2nd bit and dipped it in a cup of water periodically to keep it cool and lube it. After finishing my last 3 holes, bit still looks great!

Great bit
Would RecommendAt last a tile drill that works like advertised. Only drilled 8 holes but it cut readily through the tile and underlying cement without issues or frustrations. It was expensive but worth it.
