What Customers Are Saying
The drill bit performs well for certain tile types like ceramic, but may not be suitable for harder materials like porcelain. While some found it effective and efficient, others reported issues with the bit dulling or breaking after just a few holes. Customers suggest using a diamond bit for porcelain and buying multiple bits for larger projects to ensure durability.

Would Not RecommendTried to drill through bathroom tile, started great for about 1/16" and could not go any further.

Use water with this!
Would RecommendBought the first bit and got thru 5 holes on my ceramic tile, bit was ruined! Bought a 2nd bit and dipped it in a cup of water periodically to keep it cool and lube it. After finishing my last 3 holes, bit still looks great!
Great bit
Would RecommendAt last a tile drill that works like advertised. Only drilled 8 holes but it cut readily through the tile and underlying cement without issues or frustrations. It was expensive but worth it.

For tile use Bosch NS300 (1/4") or NS200 (3/16")
Would RecommendI purchased the 3/16" Bosch NS200 from Lowes, product says it's for Natural Stone, Granite, Ceramic, and Slate. I had to drill two holes through tile which I assume is ceramic and not porcelain, but it's old tile and I'm not exactly sure. The bit worked, VERY VERY slowly. Maybe took over 30 minutes or more, but did eventually get though the 1/4" thick or less tile. I DISCOVERED IT WORKED BETTER WHEN I WOULD GET THE BIT WET TO KEEP THE DRILL & TILE COOL BY DIPPING THE BIT IN WATER AND I ALSO ...

Quick and easy bit
Got this to use to drill holes in the bathroom wall tiles so I could install some handrails and a few accessories for the tub. Did the job with no issues. Definitely had no issues with subway tiles no chipping or cracking. Used it for about 12 holes before I started to notice any slowing down. Setting the tiles and run some water on it while drilling will drastically increase it’s life especially with thicker tiles.

7 holes, porcelain tile, no issues
Would RecommendFollowed instructions and it worked great- taped area, marked spot, with light taps using a hammer- created a small divet so the bit didnt walk. By the seventh hole it was cutting slower, but worked well and still expect a number of uses left in it.

It can handle more heat.
Would RecommendIt can handle more heat than an ordinary masonry bit but is still very slow on brick.

Quality Bit
Would RecommendI was able to drill 4 holes in porcelain with a single bit. Unlike another bit I had that didn’t finish 2 hole.
