Good, Reliable Jig Saw

I've used this saw a few times and getting more from it each time I use it. I do better at cutting an accurate line with a slower speed and less blade orbit and have also set the dial to reduce the max cutting speed. With the high speeds, I can cut through wood like it's butter. I really like the blade guide to keep the saw blade straight for accurate cuts. Also the lever in the front to quickly change blades. My first experience with a jigsaw was with a low end consumer model which rounded curves like a truck without power steering. The second was Definitely an upper end but was difficult to use. I finally decided to go with the best , and am happy I did. Plenty of power, to go through 1 1/2 inches of material, using the correct blade. Best Jig Saw I've used!

Bought this Jig Saw and right out of the box, after geting the blade loaded, knew this was the most accurate and smooth Jig Saw Ive owned! I purchased this based on customer reviews, and the reviews were spot on accurate!!! Was a Bosch fan before this jig saw, and buying this saw, cemented the deal!! Forever a huge bosch tools fan!!

Powerful

After having a couple less expensive jigsaws I finally bought one with power! It's a bit heavier, but it cuts through plywood without lacking the power needed. I should have bought this rears ago!

As of 2014, I think you'll find this is the most saw for the dollar spent. It has lots of power and the variable speed control is at the rear of the motor body. The circuitry gives you the feeling of full power without full speed. The trigger which is nice and fat, gives you a soft start, which is very helpful. Powerful, with little vibration

It's well worth every penny, super long power cord, and the quick change blade feature is awesome. Would of gave 5 stars, but it needs a light, or a laser.

This saw is a beast!

I have used this saw to cut sheet metal, 2x6's, etc. It runs through them like butter with creat control.

The perfect link of power and precision

A friend had told me of the carpenter who came to the job with a Bosch jig saw. No table saw or circular saw was needed. Now that I have my own, I am a believer. If you only have room for one saw, for precision or power, or both, this is it. In my case it ranges from cutting metal roofing on the barn, to wooden hangers for tack and other gear. Great product!

Exceptional Saw

Whether you are cutting straight lines or compound curves, this saw gets the job done with very little effort.  Why I did not acquire one these sooner, I'll never know.  This is absolutely a tool for professionals.

Great Jig Saw

I've used the JS470E for one project so far, cutting several pieces of plywood for a dust collection box for my table saw.  I made all straight cuts; some were at a bevel so I could make the box narrower at the bottom than at the top and have ends that were flat on the bottom and the top. I used a straight edge guide to make the cuts. The JS470E was smooth, fast, accurate and easy to use. The blade did not wander from the cut lines. Vibration was minimal.
