What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this drywall screw setter. Most praise its accurate depth control, one-handed operation, and magnetic screw holder for small projects and repairs, calling it a time-saver for DIYers. However, many report significant durability issues, with the tool failing after just a few sheets or 10-20 screws due to broken clutches and cracked housings. Several note the depth control becomes inconsistent over time. Reviewers agree it works well for light, occasional use but isn't suitable for heavy-duty applications. While some experience minor issues like loose bits or alignment problems, most who encounter failures express regret about their purchase.

Would Not RecommendI tried using this bit and as i did it failed to stop the screw. I turned the top piece thinking that would fix the problem. It did not go as far on the next screw, but the screw after went way too deep again. It continued to automatically set itsself to no depth control. Just garbage.

garbage
Would Not Recommendit adjusts on it's own, it make dimples easy too deep, then you twist the top to make it shorter, the dimple is still too deep, but it readjusts on it's own make the dimple almost halfway through the board.

A great little screw setter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a small drywall repair after opening a wall to fix some water leaking in a bathroom. It's a fairly standard drywall screw setter and I used it with some #6 Grip-Rite drywall screws. I have a couple of other drywall screw setters in the past, and this worked flawlessly for setting 14 or so screws to close the wall back up. All screws were set to proper depth. Placing the screws on the driver was simple and holding them while starting w...

A small tool worth having
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drywall dimpler drywall screw setter features a Phillips screw head to make it easy to screw in drywall sheet rock. This is used so that the drywall can be put up easier without having to buy a drywall screw gun specially made for that. In my line of work I have put up drywall before but not enough to where I would need a separate tool for that. This is perfect for the person who just needs to use something for doing a small room and or re...

The Dimpler Is Great. It Makes Everything Easier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this in my impact driver for easily switching bits and for the depth. The magnet on the Dimpler is also great because the magnet is very strong so the bits don’t just fall out like other products. The Dimpler is also great because it allows you to get the same depth when making furniture.

Works Great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dimpler drywall driver works fantastic. I was able to just attach it right into the end of my screw drill. It makes the job of putting the screws in the drywall so much easier because you don't have to worry about the screws going intoo far. It is also magnetized so when you put your screw on the tip of it, it stays put. The magnet is really powerful. It helps because I don't have to hold the screw to the wall. You ca also use it in reverse...
