What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on this drywall screw setter. Most praise its accurate depth control, one-handed operation, and magnetic screw holder for small projects and repairs, calling it a time-saver for DIYers. However, many report significant durability issues, with the tool failing after just a few sheets or 10-20 screws due to broken clutches and cracked housings. Several note the depth control becomes inconsistent over time. Reviewers agree it works well for light, occasional use but isn't suitable for heavy-duty applications. While some experience minor issues like loose bits or alignment problems, most who encounter failures express regret about their purchase.

Would Not RecommendI could never get it to drive a screw to correct depth. It did not recess the screws so I had to go back later and drive them deeper with regular driver bit. Then it failed completely after working on 3rd sheet. It came apart in my drill. A waste of time and money, evidently these companies don't know what its like trying to get a job done with tools that dont work and fail.
Good product for the homeowner.
Would RecommendWorks very well and does the job. Bit changes easily. But you have to keep the bit perpendicular in order for the screw to set properly and can be difficult to draw a screw back out once it’s in

Would Not RecommendI understand new tools will take some time to learn however this bit isn't worth the learning curve needed to make it work. the bit has a locking system to take replace the bit which in itself is fine but I have find this feature engages while I am in the middle of driving screws in and the next thing I know I drove the drywall screw too deep and have to redo the screw wasting time adding more clean up and the bit locks in place so it doubles my frustration bec I have readjust the bit . I want...

Would Not Recommendstarted failing at 12 4x8 sheets. complete failure at 14 sheets. if you have small projects... sure maybe if you have the few bucks to burn. I'm a smaller contractor and working on my own 700 sq ft addition so I was excited about this one but it fell far short. but the solid Kobalt drywall bit that you can drop any P2 bit in and keep it moving.

Would Not RecommendStarted out great. The first dozen sheets had zero issues. Then the collar (clutch) would pop down and lock onto the little stop used to hold it back and be able to grab the bit out. I would have to beat it on my work bench or struggle to get it to reset. Then my mechanic sence set in and looked for a way to address it. had to use a Dremel to grind off the clutch stop so it could not lock itself into the back position. It's ok -ish but it's not driving the screws slightly counter sunk as it was ...

Love this product.
Would RecommendThis is the best drywall screw bit I have ever used. I am not a professional, just a pretty rowdy DIY'r and this thing works terrific for me! Glad I found a good bit since I don't have enough drywall work to justify buying a senco auto drywall screwdriver.
