What Customers Are Saying
The gas can has several design issues that make it challenging to use. The spout and nozzle mechanism is overly complicated, leading to frequent spills and leaks when pouring fuel. The rigid spout design and difficulty in holding and balancing the can also contribute to control problems. Additionally, the spout and nozzle are prone to breaking or malfunctioning after limited use. While the safety features are well-intentioned, the overall execution has resulted in a product that is less functional than simpler, older gas can designs.

Would Not Recommend...to screw up something so simple as a gas can, but I was wrong. The "safety" features make it impossible to use. It leaks. It is a horrible, horrible product. Do I really have to give it a star?
THE VERY WORST GASOLINE CONTAINER I EVER HAD.
Would Not RecommendExtreamly difficult to use the first time you use it and when you do figure it out it leaks. I wll return it when the gas is gone if I don't blow myself up. What ever happened to a simple gas can with a simple funnel?
Effective, but complicated
Would RecommendA little pricey for a gas can, but the spout design works perfectly once you figure out the system. The instructions are not very clear, so I can understand why so many people have given a poor revue. With the spout attached the gas can is still sealed shut, so there's really no need to store it with the spout inside the can. To dispense fuel you must first depress the base of the narrow black plastic strip that runs along the top of the dispensing mechanism until you feel it click. This unlock...
Great Gas container
Would RecommendI really like the attachment on the gas can that turns in and off the flow of gas, so I don’t spill gas.
PC Gas Can
Would Not RecommendNot vented and the "safety" feature makes it almost unusable. Don't waste your money!
Would not recommend this product.
Would Not RecommendThe new spout does not work well on the plastic gas tanks on mowers, weed eaters and other lawn equipment because the spring is too strong. It bends the plastic tank when putting gas in and it also leaks if you pull the spring by hand. There needs to be a better way to accomplish a leak proof gas can. I have seen some with a little pump which makes more sense.
Leaks badly
Would Not RecommendPour spout design is faulty so it leaks when you try to fill a mower, etc.
Horrible.
Would Not RecommendThis thing is the worst. It's nearly impossible to get this thing to dispense gas. The gymnastics required to get the nozzle to work are ridiculously convoluted. I no longer even use the nozzle. Just unscrew the cap and pour the gas out of the large opening. You will be much happier. Next I'm thinking about drilling a hike in the back of the handle to make it even better. Will never buy this thing again.
Dangerous product, should be recalled
Would Not RecommendSince the can is unvented until the spout is depressed, it can build up tremendous pressure when stored in a hot location. Then when you attempt to use it the gasoline sprays out and splashes all over the place. I got a face full of gasoline when I tried to fill the lawnmower tank. I'm 68 years old and have never had this problem with any other gas can. This is a dangerous product that should be recalled.
Bad Gas Can
Would Not RecommendGas cap too difficult to remove. Too many government safety features for me resulted in it being returned. For goodness sake it is just a gas can.
Poorly designed
Would Not RecommendIt's not Lowe's fault. Lawsuits caused the redesign of gas cans. You have to push in on the stem to allow the gas to flow. It takes a lot of force and results in gas flowing on your hand. Then if you leave it in the sun for a few minutes and push in on the release gas blasts out and in your face. Horrible design.
Rube Goldberg would be proud
Would Not RecommendAs a rule gas cans are not complicated. They consist of a container and a spout. Why did my first attempt to pour gas into my lawn mower fail? There was a disc shaped valve blocking the flow. A few minutes with a screw driver solved the problem. The valve was removed revealing an inner working of springs and arches rivaling the complexity of a Rube Goldberg creation. The only difference being Rube Goldberg's devices worked. There appears to be a label on pictures of the gas can which may ex...
2 gallon plastic gas can
Would Not RecommendWorst gas can I have ever had. It is difficult to tighten the spout enough so it doesn't leak. The push down feature may be great for larger items, car, riding mower or such but I wanted it for my chain saw, blower, etc. These items take a small amount to fill up and I have to hold the spout down with one hand for gas to flow without over filling the small tanks. I do not recommend this item for the smaller gas driven tools and would not buy another one.
2 gallon plastic gas can
Would Not RecommendThis item should be pulled off the market NOW. It is impossible to use with small machines like mowers, chain saws, etc. without spilling gas all over. This was not over-engineered. It is not engineered at all! A safety hazard awaiting a disaster to some hapless individual or individuals. As a trauma surgeon whose job is to help prevent trauma as well as fix it when it happens, my advice is CAN this can!
Bad design
Would Not RecommendWith the new designs of these gas cans I swear you spill more gas than you actually get into your equipment half the time Unfortunately it is not the manufactures fault they are just following guidelines and specifications put in place by our government
Leaks, Too Complicated
Would Not RecommendDo not buy this product. It’s pure junk. It’s over complicated design is a pain to use. It leaks everywhere, even when screwed together. What they have done is over complicated something that doesn’t need to be over engineered. It’s a can with a spout, the end. I should have to make three complicated maneuvers just to pour gas. Also, it shouldn’t leak every time I pour gas. A shoe would be a better vessel for gasoline than this can.
