What Customers Are Saying

The cordless trimmer offers good power and cutting ability for small to medium-sized yards. It is lightweight and easy to use, making it suitable for a variety of users. However, the battery life may be limited, especially for larger jobs, and the assembly and instructions can be challenging. While the trimming performance is generally strong, the edging capabilities are not as robust for some customers. Overall, it provides a solid cordless option with a balance of quality and affordability.

Black and Decker Cordless String Trimmer Edger

Would Recommend

I have used the trimmer/edger only once and so far I am very pleased. With it being so light weight the job gets done a lot quicker. I have a about a 3/4 acre yard and the battery held its charge.

Poor useability.

Would Not Recommend

Handle would not stay in place, cut a small swath of grass and weeds, lost power after 35 minutes of use. It was fully charged when I began.

Best purchase !

Would Recommend

I received excellent service while trying to pick out the best weeder for me. I choose this one and love it. The product is so easy to use and lite weight. No worry to mess with trying to get the gas and oil and hold the traditional heavy weeder. Family and friends and wanting to borrow it and/or going to purchase themselfs one.

Much better than a gas powered trimmer

Would Recommend

I can't believe it took me this long to get a battery powered trimmer. My gas powered trimmer refused to start so I went to get a new one. This battery powered trimmer was on sale for less money than the cheapest gas one. It works great and has instant start. .

10 minute and under jobs only

Would Not Recommend

Battery is slow to change but drains in 10mins, it will keep going a few more minutes but at lower speed and then auto string feed quits working. It feels beyond awkward with the little handle on it. My 30$ corded black and decker has lasted 5 years on 1/3 acre city lot and still works. I bet this will not survive a year.

Better than expected...

Would Recommend

Been a gas trimmer/edger user for over 15 years. Troy-Bilt 25cc bit the dust and decided to try a 20volt. After reading all the reviews, i went ahead and bought this on sale and crossed my fingers. Been pleasantly surprised! It's light weight, very low noise level and power supply gets the work done. For small to med size yards, this will work for you. Was able to EDGE and TRIM without any power loss (approx 20-25 min use). Sure i could get more out, I just didn't need to. All the reviews stati...

Satisfied purchase

Would Recommend

This product was better than expected. Has good power for Battery powered. I haven't rewound spool yet so I can't comment on that, but the line sea to last longer than some weed eaters I've owned. Although I've only used it a couple times, I'm very pleased with this product.

Just what I needed

Would Recommend

I had to find a weed eater that I, a fifty some year old woman who has had triple bypass surgery, could handle. This little charm has done the trick so far. My husband has a gas powered huge trimmer that was too big for me to think about using and since he had heart bypass surgery I had to find a way to get the yard in shape. The battery life is not an issue for me since I was able to do my entire large back yard in one swoop and by the time the battery ran out so had my arms. This is a very lig...

Poor battery life - Extended charging time

Would Not Recommend

This review is for the LST300 model. I'm afraid that I'm still a fan of corded equipment, and have never owned a cordless tool. However, the sales associate convinced me that battery design was far advanced, and that I would be very satisfied with this trimmer, especially since I have only very light weeds, growing in a rocky area that can't be mowed. This is a nicely designed trimmer, lightweight, and easy to setup. The problem, however, is the poor battery life, and the lengthy re-charge tim...

Yard Newbie

Would Recommend

I've recently had to start taking care of my own lawn. I bought this trimmer Sunday and used it right out of the box on Monday. I had some pretty thick weeds and hadn't charged the battery at all and it lasted about 20 minutes which was more than I expected. It's been on the charger and I'll go back at it tonight. It was so easy to put together and figure out how to use.

Very poor battery time

Would Not Recommend

Powerful, easy to use. Battery last only 20-15 mins on full charge. Exchanged for new only, it was no better. Lowes was Great, let me exchange for Worx. Worx battery life is twice. Worx has better customer service than Black and Decker.

first time user of cordless trimmers

Would Not Recommend

Have been shopping and purchasing at Lowes for a bunch of years. This time decided to try a cordless trimmer as my corded unit bit the dust. Like everything about it except run time. If the "new" battery last twice as long as the old, glad I didn't get an old one. Charged about 18 hours, used it 20 minutes before it didn't want to work any more. If this is normal, no big weeds or things like that, have to get a second maybe third battery to do trimming and edging for a small to medium sized lot....
