Great, but..

I used this occasionally until it quit in the summer of 2017. Taking it to an authorized B&D repair place they said the motor had burned out. Occasional use only and the motor burned out?

Good for very lightweight work. Chain has to be oiled between each cut which is a little annoying but it does serve the purpose

Black +decker lithium 20v chainsaw

The battery doesnt hold a charge for more then 20 minutes of cutting. It takes 24 hours ir more to charge the battery aftet 20 mintes of use.i would bot recommend this to anyone that needs to cut a cord of firewood.

worrh considering

I love this chainsaw! It is perfect for me- a lady who does not want to try to crank a regular chainsaw. I only attach my battery and prime the oil a few times for the chain, and I'm ready to go! I have recently purchased a weedeater/ same brand and the batteries are the same. I now have 3 batteries charged and ready to go at all times.

Cuts quickly, but the oiler stopped working

I like this saw and used it to trim rather large tree branches and to clear hurricane debris. A larger 20 volt battery is really needed. It worked great for about an hour then the manual oiler quit working.

Lightweight

This chainsaw is light and easy to maneuver. I get 30-40 3-4"cuts per charge. I use the 20V batteries from other B&D tools without issue.

Great Little Saw for Residential Homeowners

I purchased this saw Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at my local Lowe's. I put it to work Thursday, August 10, 2017. I used it to cut up a large forked section of a Bradford Pear Tree that had fallen in my front yard. The saw worked like a champ! Great little saw but oiler stops working

I received this little saw for a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. I don't use it much, but it is very handy for the little jobs I need to do. Oiler worked for a while. But now when I press the little oiler button, it does not seem to be letting the oil out onto the bar. I have seen several other comments and reviews about this problem. I only used it once since getting it but it worked fine. I think I will like it much better than the gasoline pull-start 2-cycle engine saws. The weather has been too bad to do much with it. I wish Lowe's had sold this from their store but buying it Online worked fine, too.

Useful trimming tool

I have experience with chain saws from 25 yeas of burning wood, so it was easy for me to use and put on chain...this product handles 6 inch diameter branches and trees with ease, and did not run out of charge after many tough cuts....well worth the money...good value

Defective oiling system

This saw would be very handy at limbing and small trees, however after 3 different returns on this saw I was not able to get one that the manual oiler would work. The check valve in the tube is not hollow so the oil cannot pass through. After owning many b&d items which I have been very happy with, very disappointed that there has been reports of this problem and nothing seems to have been done. Lightweight

A bit pricey for a handful of plastic and small motor. I agree B&D could throw in another battery and enough oil to get you started. However good for small jobs for diameters up too eight inches at the most. Remember bigger the branch the more juice it will take.

Oiler does not work

Bought this on 5/29/16. Description here saws automatic oiling system. It is a manual oiler and did not work right out of the box. Several reviews on other sites mention the same issue. Purchased this because we own several other 20V B&D tools that work great. Disappointed in this purchase.

Black and Decker Chainsaw

This is my third 20 volt Chainsaw. The others failed because the oiler for the chain did not work. The saw itself is excellent it cuts good and is easy to handle and the battery last a long time. If they can figure a way to get a better oiling system it will be a great saw.

Easy To Use

This saw is just the right size for small saplings and branches that can't be cut with manual branch trimmers and a full sized gas chainsaw is just too big. Directions easily explained how to put the chain on and operate safely. It would be nice if they had included chainsaw oil and two batteries instead of one but all-in-all, it's a great value.

Eats wood like an eager beaver

Bought this to clear brush along 3/4 of a mile of fence line. Used daily for a week now. Chainsaw works great. Hints: The saw will stop when the battery gets hot, even though there is still juice left. Let the battery cool and resume cutting or buy a spare battery (I have three) and swap back and forth. Keep the area under the tension lock clear of debris. Use a compressor to blow fine debris out of the tension lock itself. It does not come apart for cleaning, you must remove it to clean. Oil...

Battery runs for about an hour, should have two charge one work the other. Haven't had to buy replacement chain as yet that might get interesting. Unit is light enough for my wife to use. If you want to cut something bigger than 4in diameter get a bigger saw this works great on the small stuff. Don
