nice little saw

I like this saw. It is great for cutting smaller logs. It is quite capable for cutting logs up to 5 or 6 inches. I have a bigger battery powered chain saw but I prefer to use the B & D 10 inch for the jobs it is suited for. There is a tendency to grab and jerk when starting a cut. I expect that is in the chain design. The cutting teeth are close together and I expect that is the cause but the saw cuts fast because of the chain design. We used it to cut down some brush and a 12 inch tree that was dead but did on one charge.

For small jobs

Not sure if the oil was actually dispensing. Overall the product worked well but definitely for small trees

Just ok

Safety switch stuck in the on position during the second use. It’s an ok chainsaw for small (very small) jobs.

Easy to handle

This chain saw is easy to handle for small jobs. It has been great for cutting my overgrown lilac bushes down.

Power in small package

Got the chainsaw to clean around fence line. Works beautifully. Great power for being battery operated!

Just my size

I will leave the bigger trees to someone else while I use this chainsaw for the smaller ones. So easy to start, so far no problems. It isn't heavy to me, glad i purchased it, will save me money and time.

Small chainsaw for small-time job

I don't need a gas chainsaw (yet) for the type of cutting I need to do. This chainsaw has enough power to do the job. It is mobile with a lithium battery. Which is my only mark-down. You have about twenty-thirty minutes of cutting before you need to re-charge. This is a trade-off between not requiring a cord and having to charge a battery.

It's definitely worth the money

Everything was easy about it. Opening the package through using it a few minutes later. Better than I expected.

Chainsaw

Perfect size for the job I had. A very large branch fell after a storm and the saw cut great without breaking my back. Battery had to be charged several times to complete the job but very pleased.

Easy to use!

Haven't used it much. But I did try it out on several limbs in my yard. I tested it out on a branch larger than 8 inches thick. It cut it with no problem and still had plenty of power. I don't have any experience with gas chainsaws other than the annoying sound I hear around my property when others use them! This one is quiet and easy to use.

Not Happy

Recently purchased based on previous B & D experience. I have been using chain saws for over 40 years from professional grade to homeowner grade and including battery powered pole saws. This one seems little more than a toy. The chain adjustment doesn't seem to stay adjusted for more than a few minutes and the chain has a tendency to jump off the bar. Also the chain does not run smoothly and tends to chatter when cutting (unlike any other chainsaw I have used).

I've never used a chainsaw before. Perfect for cutting small limbs or trees.

Excellent little saw

I wanted something light that I could handle easily, run easy, and still have enough power to clean up branches and debris from the storm. This little saw really exceeded my expectations, it cuts through branches quite nicely, cut through a 9 inch branch quite easily. My only complaint is the long charge time and somewhat short battery life comparatively, but for my limitations that's okay. Chainsaw 20 Volt

Good working chain saw. Only problem is that can only cut certain size of branches. Battery last for about an hour in full use. Should have a backup battery?

Great saw but B+D needs to fix the oiling problem

I got this saw as a replacement for a 40V LC1240 which leaked oil over everything except the chain. This model has the opposite problem. The manual oiler does not work on many of these saws. I bought two of them, and by switching the oil cap/pump from one onto the other saw, I got one which worked (and took the other one back). it does not put out much oil, but probably enough to oil the chain. The trick is to press and HOLD the pump cap for several seconds. This seems to work much bett...
