just what I needed

Only thing could have better suited me was a battery and more blades. But I knew this when I bought it to go with batteries I already had. Cuts the yard debris of 3 acres of century-old hardwoods down to my burn pile size perfectly! As a 68-year old woman, I think that testifies how easy this saw is to operate. Surely beats my old hand saw method!

Worked better than I expected

Have used elect saws all and but was skeptical about a battery powered version. Since I have other B & D battery tools I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. As a retired home owner it’s going to fill my needs.

Works great doesn’t come with a battery but the ones I already had lasted a good amount of time, come with one blade and still using it after a few weeks of use.

This little sawzall is amazing! Light weight and cuts like a champ. We recently had a terrible storm here and I spent around 5 hours outside hauling and cutting downed branches around my yard. I used it frequently and made a lot of cuts and only used 2 battery packs (not included). It's happy spot is cutting items 4 inches in diameter or less, but can be used for bigger items too. powerful and handy

i purchased this to cut shrubs and anything really. it is so simple to install a blade. i have a another brand corded and its hard to switch blades. this one really cuts. i used it to cut off a comode seat that was been on for 30 years . it was nothing.

Really useful around the yard

I have 7 acres of pine trees and I do a lot of trimming dead branches and cleaning up downed trees. For taking the branches off, this saw with a pruning blade works really well. It is lighter than a chainsaw, easy to use one handed, and does not need oiling. No issues with sharpening the chain - replacement blades are cheap. The price was attractive.

Black & Decker 20V saw was purchased and returned same day when I could not use 3 of my 20V batteries that power my B&D lawn and garden tools. Apparently, B&D lawn & garden tool batteries cannot be used on B&D tools.

Terrible

It broke on the first cut I wasted 50 dollars on a saw It broke when i was cutting 1/2 steel plate it stared to smoke then it cut out the battery was half charged I tried to replace the battery and nothing worked

I bought this the other day to take the tops of five 4x4 treated fence posts. I already have various 20v tools that came with chargers and batteries but was surprised how many I went through for five posts. It's a great sawsall and does everything that I intended it to do I only wish that instead of buying everything ala carte such as the battery and the charger and the unit, that would all come in one package for a little bit better price

Good unit

I already had the 20 volt batteries so I selected this unit. It works just fine for my purposes.

Saved my car

I was replacing the sway bar link but couldn't remove the top bolt. I was warned it would take either a blow torch or a reciprocating saw but I got cheap and used a hacksaw. After aggravating 3 hours, I bought this saw with an extra blade for cutting thick metal. It only took me 10 seconds to cut the bolt. A great addition to my black & decker products.

Does exactly what I need it to do - and I already had batteries from another B&D product so no need to purchase more which was great.

I just bought it today, and got home finished a job that would have took a few more weeks without it. I already have a battery that was charged up and finished in about 10 minutes. AAA+++ rating

Excellent Value

I bought this saw because it uses the same battery and charger as my other B&D tools -- I already have 5 batteries and 3 chargers. The saw is an excellent tool, dependable, portable, lightweight, with a long battery life. I just bought it a couple of weeks ago and it has already gotten me through two projects on my "Honey-Do" list.
