Nice product but some issues

I like the pergola but 5 out of the 6 post were twisted. So the base is not square. Tried everything to try to square up but nothing worked. You can actually see the twist in some of the posts. Louvers sag in the middle.

Amazing Product!

We purchased the Sarasota Pergola 14x10 and also purchased the installation as well. The pergola is amazing! Looks great. High quality steel, Looks incredible in our yard. The installation team that came out were great .. Very professional and seamlessly installed the pergola in just a few hours. Highly recommended

It's Perfect!

We just landscaped our backyard around the pool. Our landscape architect recommended the Sarasota 10x20 Pergola and after reading the reviews I was sold. I'm 71 years old and I built about 85% of it by myself. I needed help to stand it up and add two beams and two posts. I also had my partner hand me the louvers to avoid going up and down the latter so many times. I used the printed directions as well as the App instructions and it was a breeze to assemble. Climate Changer

Bought and installed a month ago, One beam was was 1/2” to long but BD overnighted a replacement beam. The install otherwise went flawlessly. Could have inbuilt this in one day but for the replaced Part. Instructions and Service were good. We are enjoying the flexibility of the louverrd operation and really enjoy the shade and definition it gives our patio.

Very Disappointed

I've had decent luck with BYD products in the past, but not this time around. The included bolts are very low quality, and break easily. Also, 3 out of 4 posts had a visible twist. Also some of the pieces could have been attached, saving assembly time for the customer.

Good but no option for patio shades

I like the pergola itself because there is one major issue - no option to add patio shades! , Due to the direction of the sun, we can not use the pergola passed 3PM which is a big bummer. Patio shades would have been a solution but Backcountry doesnt have any for their pergola.

Great purchase!

It took three people around 4-5 hours to put up my pergola, which might have been quicker if not for the heat wave. The screws were securely packaged and the organization was impressive, with everything clearly labeled. When the louvers are fully open and the sun shines through, it feels cooler than sitting directly in the sun. Quality Steel Louvered Pergola

After a lot of research I decided to purchase the Sarasota. Everything else appeared to be mainly aluminum, i heard steel was better a the quality shows. I didn’t want to deal with staining wood or maintenance either. You won’t be disappointed, assembly is at a great price too, a big reason why I went with BYD!

Great Buy

Great functionality vs standard non-louvered pergola. This makes a 95 degree day in Kentucky feel very comfortable. Setup was easy. Two people spent one full day installing. We were missing one small piece, which was rushed out to us with no questions asked. It has also shown great wind resistance, which is a must where I live. Aluminum frames just don't hold up like steel. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because you cannot hang things, like a chair, hammock, etc from the frame, despite...

We had to pull up some pavers and install a concrete base to set the corner post on. Hopefully we will be able to finish this weekend but so far very Happy with the project.

Excellent Quality

Wow! We are impressed. The quality of our pergola couldn't be better. My husband and I setup in 6 hours. Everything was labeled, organized and easy to follow. Everything fit together and had no issues with alignment. The option to close and open the louvers is a wonderful option. Our deck was full sun during the day not much fun. But, now we can enjoy all day long.

Nice design

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Installed it in about 6 hours today. I was wondering how smooth it would operate the louvers, but I am very pleased with it. It's only been a day, but so far I absolutely love it. Well designed. Fairly simple to install, needed 3 guys but mostly just to set the beams upright. Other than that really could do it yourself, but probably best to have 2.

This is a nice product. Sturdy, good quality, does what is advertised, and only took a couple hrs to set up. Only wish it had some sort of curtains or netting to help keep bugs/ rain out for the price.

Amazing Sarasota Pergola

We just got our BYD pergola set up and it is absolutely perfect!!! We love it so much! The assembly took about 10 hours for two people. And its features of opening and closing are fantastic! We love having a nice place to enjoy dinner as a family outside!! And it offers a great amount of shade, which will be especially nice this summer!!!

Great features!

When we started seeing pergolas set up in stores and some friends and family that had them, we wanted that look for our backyard. We wanted quality and durability and we definitely have that in choosing the Sarasota 14x10 Louvered Steel pergola from Backyard Discovery. Great for outdoor patio

Sarasota Louvered Pergola

I bought the Sarasota Louvered Pergola 2 weeks ago and I love it. The louvered is adjustable it opens all the way or you can close it all the way if it’s raining, what a genius idea. I love the no maintenance with the galvanized steel and its sleek stylish black color. The instructions made it easy to install and came with all the anchoring plates and a 5 year warranty. I think I might buy one for my mom for Mother’s Day.

Great Pergola!!!!

What a great Pergola! It went together much faster than I expected and looks great. The only issue with installation we had was attaching the metal plates to the 32 louvers, not sure why they don't ship them already attached. The Louvered roof is awesome and water tight. I am so glad we bought this structure.
