Instructions weren't clear.

Instructions were too confusing. Holes didn't line up. Had to rig some spots to make it fit. Took 45 days for 2 people to build.

Natural beauty natural strength

We love our new gazebo. We bought this beautiful and durable shelter this summer. Our expectations have been exceeded because of the craftsmanship built into every piece. Everyone that comes to backyard is amazed at this new gathering place. Thank you this product it is impressive

Great product!

We put this together and installed it over two weekends! Instructions were easy to understand and this is very solid. Highly recommended Backyard Discovery, we got it up in time for our Fall Party!

High Quality Gazebo

I love my gazebo! It is high quality and provides a wonderful covered space on my cement patio. The electrical outlet makes it easy to add lights, a fan, a heater and a TV. You can't go wrong with the professional installation.

Great product. Not perfect, but very good.

instructions were fairly clear and easy to follow with a little study. There were a couple spots where you are supposed to do one side, get down, move the ladder, repeat on the other side, repeat, repeat, repeat. It was far more logical and a lot easier to do 4 or 5 steps on one so side then the other. Materials were satisfactory except for the concrete anchors. A full third of them broke before reaching proper depth. Overall, we like it, and would get another one.

Awesome poolside gazebo

I bought this gazebo to replace an existing Tiki hut with a deteriorating thatched roof. I love the clean lines of this structure and how it fits into my poolside space. I especially like the durability of the metal roof and the wind rating (we’ve had two major storms this year with tropical storm force winds and no damage to report)

We were really impressed with the quality of the materials in our new gazebo. It went together beautifully and our builder was impressed too. Our experience with Backyard Discovery was great too. We highly recommend this company and product.

Heavy duty, quality parts, fast shipping

I went with Backyard Discovery because it looked the most heavy duty and durable compared to other brands. And I was right. I live in a windy area, and I can tell this gazebo will withstand the elements. Definitely recommend having at least 3 (maybe 4) people when installing the roff panels. Almost everything else can be done with 1-2 people. Took us a couple days to fully install and mount to a concrete pad.

Sturdy

The Gazebo is exactly as advertised. I look forward to next summer on the deck

Perfect gazebo

I purchased the Norwood Gazebo after owning brand at my old house so I knew what to look for . The Norwood is perfect for me , its construction is flawless. I had it assembled by your team and I’m completely happy .

Took weeks for 2 people

This took us almost a month to build as each step takes at least 30 minutes to complete. Just removing the shrunk wrap off of the metal took hours and multiple broken nails to complete. Even with a video, the instructions weren't clear.

Hot tub haven

This is my second gazebo in two years. The first was a Cordova for my outdoor dining table which was a phenomenal addition. We bought the Norwood for our hot tub so we can us it during inclement weather including snow. It has enhanced our spa time tremendously. Wish we had done this years ago. Looking to do a third over the grill area. I bought these because of their structure and ability to hold up in wind and snow storms. Just a great product and easily assembled.

Looks good, but too many pieces!

Everyone loves the gazebo, but you should know the corner posts are hollow and the long sides come in 3 separate pieces bolted together. Also, the metal roof doesn't have flashing at the side trim but really should have to prevent or ice from building on your roof. Design is nice once you finally get it together!

Love it

I spent a year looking at budget options for shade in the backyard before finally deciding to splurge on the Norwood 10x12. Glad I did. Assembly was pretty straightforward, there were a couple spots where the boards were warped or the holes were a bit out of tolerance and I had to drill them a bit larger to make things line up, but that's to be expected with wood. Old world craftsmanship….New world assembly

I am anticipating delivery of my 3rd Discovery cedar carport. They are fantastic and pictures just don’t do it justice. I highly recommend this company! Better get one while you can!

Finished product so worth it!

Bought this kit to replace an old metal frame rusted out pergola, was love at first sight when I saw timber frame inspired pictures. Build it slowly with help from my two sons, so proud to say I build the roof grid all by myself, a 66 year old lady. I also stained it with Cabot's Heartwood sealer which is the most beautiful color. I bought the Brindlewood gazebo to have a shaded poolside space and I am very happy with quality of this product.

Everything great, except the roof

I was really impressed with how this went together. Everything lined up well enough, and was easy enough to put together. My only complaint is the roof. The roof isn’t designed for places that have heavy rain the metal roofing doesn’t extend long enough to shed water properly. Both ends also don’t have any roofing material over them, so they are completely exposed to the weather. The design for this roof is a poor choice. Fantastic Addition

We picked up the 16x12 Norwood to extend the coverage of our new stone patio. Everything arrived intake, all parts were labeled clearly, and instructions were very easy to follow. We are just normal homeowners (45 yrs old, owned our home for 20 yrs) and were able to fully assemble the gazebo ourselves. We did need a few extra hands to erect each half and it made it way easier to get the roof panels up when someone hands them up to you while you're on the ladder. We put our gazebo up on 20" c...
