Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Windham 12-ft W x 14-ft L x 7-ft 6-in H White Metal Freestanding Pergola with Canopy

Best looking pergola

The instructions to build the pergola were pretty straightforward. Took two people to build it six hours. The modern look goes well with our house. I would suggest this pergola to everyone!

Fits our mid-century home perfectly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pergola looks like it built right into our mid-century home.

Easy to assemble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this pergola. It was fairly easy to put together ourselves and with the right tools. It is sturdy and the quality is great! The only thing we don’t like is that the soft canopy shrunk in the sun, so we will need to look at replacing it.

Love our Pergola!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Words cannot express how much we love our new pergola! It took a couple of days to get it up, but it won’t be going anywhere unless there’s a Cat 5 Hurricane. We live in NW Florida and had to make sure what we got wasn’t going anywhere. Even without attaching it to the ground/pavement it’s so heavy it would have to take a major wind to cause any damage. It’s plenty big enough for our fire table and not crowded at all. The quality of the materia...

12 X 10 Winham

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great deal. Prompt delivery. Easy assembly, just follow instructions (took 3 of us awhile). Get lots of compliments on it. Looks great. We are going to buy another one for the rear deck, soon.

What a great change to our Backyard!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our steel pergola online. The 3 boxes were heavy and we are in our mid seventies so we hired someone to assemble it for us. It went together well. Our backyard is so much more useable now that we have some sun protection. And, it looks great! We have friends over for a meal more often now because we can eat outside under our pergola. We have received many compliments on it. So glad we purchased this.

Great product good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was recommended to the Backyard Discovery by my landscaper. I couldn’t be more happy that he did. The products to enhance the look of any backyard are amazing. I purchased a more modern looking pergola and so happy I did. It looks absolutely amazing in my backyard, and has an electrical feature that I can use to run my stereo for parties or even hook up a tv to watch a game with the fellas while enjoying my backyard.

Pergola

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavy duty, it did not stain while waiting to be install in the wet box outside with the elements. Strong material

Sleek, Strong and Functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to go with the Windham modern steel pergola after months of searching for the pergola with the right style, price, and functionality we wanted - and we couldn't be happier. We installed it on our 16'x14' deck. It took me and my father in law about 7-8 hours to assemble and install everything. The instructions were pretty straightforward and all the right parts were delivered with no damage. We get a lot of wind where we are (sometime...

Really happy with our choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were in the midst of a backyard remodel and considered a lot of different options but feel we definitely made the right choice. Assembly was very straightforward. It has already proved to be very sturdy during a mid-level windstorm and it looks great.

Trenton black 14X10

Great choice to add to my backyard! Really brings everything together with a touch of modern/contemporary vibe. The pergola is very sturdy and strong material. The only draw back I have is that the Canopy does not cover the entire area from beam to beam and it does not prevent water from sipping through.

Great Pergola and super sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I erected this pergola on my back patio just about a month ago. I have been very impressed with out sturdy it is and the instructions were easy and straightforward to follow. I did it by myself except for the connection of the posts to the beams. If I had had more help, we could have probably done it in just a few hours.

Awesome Pergola!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a modern, contemporary, sleek looking pergola for two years. Backyard Discovery filled the ticket. So happy with my pergola and all of its features. The finish, clean lines, color, and structural stability is perfect for my patio. Thank you, Backyard Discovery.

Quaiity is impressive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re loving our new Pergola with sunshade. The quality is very impressive and sturdy. It defines our dining area on our 16x 16 attached deck. Gives us evening use of the deck as we installed cafe light’s across the ceiling in a criss cross pattern.

Great Pergola!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Trenton Pergola. I use it for a sitting area near my pool. It is now the center of our activities out side of the pool. Easy to set up.

Impressed by the quality!

My wife and I are very happy with the purchase! It seems to be a very good value in terms of quality for the price. It really enhances the yard and should last a long time. The 12x14 took about 11 hours to build, about 6 hours on my own and 5 more with a helper. Tons of parts and hardware, BUT I was very impressed with the quality of the design, fit and finish. The paint was perfect and everything fit together well. The BILT app was helpful as a cross-reference to the instructions. The trickiest...

Great quality and easy assembly

I bought this pergola about 2 months ago and couldn't be happier. This is the second backyard discovery buildings I bought. The quality and ease of assembly is what sold me. I put the pergola together by myself over two days. Would definitely recommend.

Transformative

After weeks of looking for something to cap off our new patio setup, I finally found and quickly settled on the 12x10Trenton. It is exactly what the space needed, now we are outside more than inside. My only complaint is that I would have liked the option to upgrade to a crank-operated canopy, so I can do it on my own instead of waiting for my tall husband lol.

12x10 Pergola Installed - not too difficult!

Construction took 6 hours for 2 middle aged women to put together. Most of the time is actually putting smaller pieces together and getting a good assembly line going. The installation did have some areas where it was more difficult to fit together, but just tweaked areas and got everything in place snugly and holes lined up. Tips: have 2-3 ladders, 2 sets of drills. The biggest issue we’re the concrete screws at the very end, securing the posts into concrete footings - the screws are flat head,...

Excellent quality

It looks beautiful. It was easy to assemble. It just took me about six hours to build.. customer service is very good. The delivery guys dropped the boxes and a couple of pieces got scratched, but just a quick email to customer service was enough to have the damaged parts sent right away. I will totally buy a bigger one for our backyard.
