What Customers Are Saying

The ceiling tiles have a mixed reception. Some customers found them easy to install and appreciated the improved appearance, but the majority reported significant issues. The tiles are described as extremely fragile and prone to cracking, chipping, or breaking, especially along the edges. Many received damaged tiles or experienced damage during installation. There were also concerns about strong odors. While the tiles may be an affordable option, the consensus is that they are of poor quality and require very careful handling, with a high risk of damage.

Good tiles, matched my old ones. Check box first.

Would Recommend

These tiles matched up well to the old ones. I like the store display to show you the finished result. They cut easily and seem comparable to others. The packaging could be better. I picked what I thought were good ones out of the stack and I still had a whole box with a damaged edge even though the packaging looked fine.

Buyer Beware

Would Not Recommend

Nice looking tiles but of the 11 boxes I bought, a total of three boxes were returned due to defective/broken/dented tiles. That's a pretty bad average. And of the 8 boxes (64 panels total) that were usable, there were several tiles that were banged up but okay to use thanks to having to trim them, I was able to cut away the damage. Really slows down the process, not to mention the extra hours I've spent sorting and returning bad tiles. What a waste of time. Armstrong needs to get with it on the...

Ceiling tile

Would Not Recommend

Of the 8 in the pack 3 were usable the rest were cracked. Armstrong needs to package these items better. The Lowe's employee and I went through 4 packages all of which were damaged to get to this one which looked ok. But once opened as I stated only 3 were usable.

very nice

I used these to replace old ceiling tiles my father had installed years ago, so I already had the grid. They look beautiful. The tiny holes look the same as the photo when examined close-up, but you can hardly see them in the installed ceiling--it looks slightly textured. The tiles are fragile: it is important to 1.) treat them like very fragile glass. Don't hit, drop, or bump them when putting them in the car. CAREFULLY unload them and put them somewhere where they won't be bumped or kicked. Se...

I noticed alot of packages of tiles were rewrapped, meaning they were brought back, but those were damaged, and why they were put back on the shelf I don't know, i had a package of ceiling tiles i bought and when i got them home, they were all damaged, so i had to make another trip back, using my gas and return them for a different pack of tiles, so a better way of dealing with tiles that were brought back, should be looked at closer to determine if there damaged or not and not put bac...

Just what I was looking for

Would Recommend

I was replacing fiberglass panels that had seen better days. These panels give my basement a clean fresh appearance and lay nicely. The installation was a little more difficult because a lot of cutting was necessary. I would have given 5 stars if I hadn't had to throw out almost 1 case because the corners were damaged and couldn't be used.

Fragile material

Would Recommend

Am replacing 30 year old tiles I put in. The old ones were not the best but these are made of more fragile materials and the show face is very fragile to damage. But if you know what you are getting they will do the job, just don't move them very often.

My house was built before 1978 and with EPA's law we can't paint unless painter is EPA certified. These ceiling tiles the prefect answer.
