Great Box

Seems very sturdy and not too expensive. The magnet does a great job of holding it closed.

Mail carrier prone to breaking door

The door on this mailbox is so heavy that if you have a careless mail carrier the door will drop hard on the hinges and warp the door. When that happens the door will no longer latch. The magnet in it is so small it barely caught the door as it was. The final straw was when our mail carrier kept slamming the door to try to close it and loosened the concrete set post. Poor manufacturer quality

Bought this mailbox for the size. After unboxing, realized one of the rivets that hold the lid on and allow the lid to open was missing. Took it back to Lowes and exchanged it. Got the 2nd mailbox home and the magnet was mounted too far back in the mailbox to hold the lid closed. Tired of driving to Lowes, so I fixed it myself.

Our door won't stay shut

We've had ours for about a year or so and the door won't stay shut now. I'm not sure if the magnet isn't strong enough or if the door is worn out. Early on, it was fine, but now it can flop open with a strong gust of wind.

Right Size - Poor Quality Control

I originally bought a Gibraltar Edwards mailbox at "the other" big box hardware store, but the door was manufactured without 1 of 2 rivets attaching the door. It was the last in stock, so I bought another at Lowe's. This mailbox has a defect in the paint where you can clearly see exposed metal. The size is exactly what I need, so I spray painted the defect. Also a slight ding at the rear because the packaging is bare bones. Literally nothing but a cardboard box. 2 out of 2 defects?! That's poor ...

Door won’t stay closed

I liked the size of this mailbox, but the door won’t stay closed.Has a small magnet to catch the door, this fell off after about a month so I replaced it with a bigger stronger magnetic..... still dose not work.

Leaks

I had high hopes for this mailbox. I like the size. However due to it's inability to keep water out it shouldn't even be considered as an option. My box is not mounted near the street and has no damage. The leak issue is therefore a design flaw.

Very nice mailbox

This is a very nice sized mailbox. We get packages sometimes and they fit nicely in this mailbox. It’s large but not too oversized. Perfect.

Nice mailbox, good price

Very sturdy mailbox, well built, heavy gauge steel. I like the magnetic closure, door will not just pop open on accident. Looks good, it's black, but it shines in headlights at night. Money well spent.

Bigger than what I expected.

Bought this mailbox because my mailman couldn’t see my old one. It was easy to install and bigger than I expected. It is really sturdy and looks durable. Love it.!

Very happy with this. I was able to mount it on my existing post with no modifications. It is very sturdy and matches other mailboxes in my neighborhood.

Nice enough mailbox but it had a dent in it that couldn't be bumped out. Suggest opening before leaving store. Product returned for another mailbox.
