Love how these lights look on my pergola, especially at night. I've received tons of compliments on how great they look!

Don't Waste Your Money

I purchased 12 strands, but only 2-3 bulbs on each strand lasted a month. All the rest of the bulbs blown out. I do not see a way to order more bulbs, therefore; it's worth the money in the long run to purchase the commercial style lights.

Love the Vintage style bulbs

The quality control for this product is lacking. I bought three strings in 2015. The bulbs are the same by appearance and style but once plugged in the lighting output is varied. Some bulbs appear to be warm light while others seem bright. It's 2017 and most of the bulbs are spent. Lowe's sells replacement vintage style bulbs. They are 7 watt, clear, C7 Base, product number 0652338, 2 bulbs per package. I bought all they had in stock at my local store to replace the spent bulbs. I am hoping in ...

Fragile and ugly

The lights themselves are beautiful, but the bulbs are so delicate and will break easily. For some reason, the designers put extra long cord at the ends of both sides so when you plug them in a row, there's an extra large gap (like 3 feet!) between lights where there's a bulky plug and just cord. We tried to tie up the additional cord, but since we were trying to string them across our cream patio ceiling, it looked awful. It ruins the whole effect. We returned them in store.

DO NOT BUY

I bought two strings and thirty bucks a pop they aren't cheap. I checked them before setting them up but two bulbs went bad setting them up!!! "Luckily" id bought three boxes of the replacement bulbs LOWES set up with the display. WRONG DANG BULBS, DIDNT FIT. I returned it all and gave them one more shot. After two days a bulbs gone bad. Great Lights, but wish they offered in LED

I've had three strings of these lights attached to my Gazebo now for over two years. I love them because the wire is not too thick and gaudy like some others I have seen, and the wire blends in, which makes them less noticeable during the day. When I bought them I immediately purchased two extra sets of lights knowing the bulbs might be hard to find. We turn these on every night for about 4-5 hours and I have used up all 20 of the replacement bulbs in my two extra sets and still had to buy mo...

I love the lights because they are fairly priced and they have a light every foot as most flights have one bulb every 2 feet. The package says you can only connect three strands and we connected for and they look really nice !

Don't buy these

I bought a bunch of these to string up along my outdoor patio. There are two things about them that are not good. 1) It's only 13 feet long. Unless your yard/patio is super narrow, you're going to string multiples of these together. Unfortunately, at each end of the string there is 3 feet with just cord (all 10 bulbs are in 7 feet of string). Very pretty and a nice amount of light

I like them a lot, and you don't need a lot of them (I have two strings hanging from a crabapple tree) to have a enough light to sit in the yard, have a drink with a friend and chat. The bulbs are very pretty and the string of lights is durable, however the individual lights are fragile. Make sure they do not bump anything. As advertised; people need to read, be careful

I have to say, knowing we purchased glass-lamped strings made me very, very cautious while unboxing and hanging the strings. Pricey? More so than throwaway low-wattage lamps from the dollar store, but these are what I was searching for and the cheaps were not. Breakable? Duh...they're glass. As far a replacments, Google-search and find some; either that or buy an extra string. One commenter mentioned $4.00 per bulb pricing, but one extra ten-bulb string at $24.98 seems to be a more cost-effectiv...

Great item ez to put-up

I could not believe so many people had problems with these lights. we did not brake any of the bulbs! what are people doing? .....stepping on them??? also others said Lowe's didn't carry replacement bulbs, we found them right away ( in case any burned out. ) we put up 4 strands and our patio looks great. Happy patio people

Put around patio umbrella

These lights are very nice. I know they are expensive, but well worth the price. We just put them up about an hour ago around our patio umbrella. They are bright enough to see what you need to do in the dark. The only issue is I see, is that one has now blown. One bulb. So I need to see how it works to replace the bulb or fuse, or what have you. Enjoy!

Great outside lights for beautiful effect

These lights are just what I was looking for. Yes, the bulbs are fragile, so I removed them before stringing, per other reviewers' advice, and I haven't had any problems. It's a short strand, so measure your area first. I hung mine outside under an awning, and it's a beautiful, soft effect that gives enough light to see, but not glaring. Low-cost, but high impact.

No breakage here; be careful unpacking/installing

Perhaps the quality of the bulbs improved over time and/or between batches? Ours (2 strings) have been installed outdoors over an open deck for over a month. Not a single failure -- even after subjected to high winds multiple times. (Yes, we do power them off in high winds.) A few notes: (1) packaging was pain in the butt -- we found the least-likely-to-damage way to remove from the package was to unscrew each and every bulb -- and you might as well leave them removed until you're done hanging...

I agree with the other reviewers on the fragility of the light bulbs. By the way, if you do want to buy replacement bulbs online and throw more money at these lights, I was able to find the bulbs online at Target: Feit 7-Watt Vintage ST12 Candelabra Base Incandescent Light Bulb (2-Pack) - Soft White for $7.
