It is one tough unit.
Price was too high bur I needed one. It is tough as nails. I stood it up in my truck and tied it in (albeit not to secure) it fell over on the way home and I figured it was ruined because it says do not lay on its side. It fell hard. I installed anyway and it is working just fine.

Broken when bought brand new
Would Not RecommendWhen purchased, the lower thermostat did not work. The heater had to be turned all the way up on the upper thermostat just to use hot water. Even then, it only supplied about 5 minutes hot water. The replacement part needed to be shipped to me and then a licenced plumber had to install as to not void the warranty. If I weren't able to troubleshoot the problem first, the plumber wouldn't have the part to fix the water heater. Just be careful before you purchase. It took a week to get fixed befor...

Would RecommendThe say it was installed, the city cut the main off. The pressure on opening caused a pipe to burst. The tank lost a lot of water. The hot water was nonexistent. after two days of switching out breaker, checking wiring and praying. I called a plumber and he said the top element was busted. It was fixed and is working great now. If it had a light, it may have saved me some headaches and gray hairs.
