Just installed so can’t say anything about the quality but the installation was easy. I had to purchase nipples for this 19 gal series 100 optional top or side mount.

Instant hot water

So far, so good. We bought this for our seasonal Mobile Home to replace a 20+ yr old unit. We bought the lower cost, lower voltage usage unit because we did not want to put too much strain on our electrical system. It works great for our needs. We are able to take 2 showers back to back and do dishes without running out of hot water. Two adult home. Hot water is instant. I will be happy if we get 10 yrs from this one!

2 Ways to hook up!

A hot water heater of this size is typically meant for a tight space. It was very nice to have the choice of a top or side water connection, other heaters of the same size do not offer that convenience. One small complaint - the pipe nipples to install water hookups were not included (as they frequently are for other models and sizes).

Installation kit

When you buy this water heater Lowe’s forces you to buy an installation kit for $40 more. My plumber did not use the kit and it’s not returnable. So the true price of this water heater is $40 more than advertised. I don’t like this type of deceptive sales tactics.

Not a good water heater

Water heater never worked properly. Luke warm some times, cold at other times. Changed thermostat no different results. Also changed element 3 times. Burn elements out and when it don’t it just don’t heat water. Rheem is a much better product!

Failed after less than 4 months

This water heater failed within three and a half months.

Bad water heater

Has been repaired 3 times and cant get a refund .

Yea , I bought it a few months ago & its great .i dont have anything else to say.

Went electric instead of gas.

First time using electric water heater in mom’s mobile home. Install was rough due to its placement above the wheel wells. But it’s working fine .

Needs short threaded pipes to Connect!

The water heater was exactly as advertised, with one HUGE exception. I needed a side water connection not a top connection, so I had to unplug the side holes and plug up the top holes, but not a big deal. What was a big deal is that the water heater did not come with threaded short pipes to come out of the hot outlet and the cold inlet holes. So i bought the recommended ($50)connector kit, which didn’t have connector pipes EITHER! I was 35 miles away from any store at my cabin and the connector...

Well Built! Uses Less Energy with 1500W Element!

Heated up in about 20 mins to hot and another 10 mins to very hot. Like the top or side connection options. Uses a 1500W heating element so uses a little less power than similar heaters with 2000W element. (Sure they might heat faster but this one heats fast enough). Also found it well insulated - turned off power, left overnight and still had hot water next morning. Easy online registration process.
