Would RecommendCovered well just a little hard to sand. Overall very happy with the results
this product sucks
Would Not RecommendI would give this product 0 stars if i could. This product does nothing that it says it does and I will NOT recommend this product to anyone!!!!!!!
Not a 6-Pack, but good spackle.
This item says it's a 6-pack, but when ordering on-line & picking up at Lowe's only 1 can was provided. The Zinsser Patching Component is very good, as it hardens like a rock.
Thank you for your feedback, Dan! We hope Rust-Oleum Zinsser Ready Patch Patching Compound will continue to meet your expectations in the future!

Excellent Product
Would RecommendI used this to fill in a few dents I had in a metal door. It worked like a charm. After sanding and painting you can’t even see where the dents are!
Excellent
Would RecommendThis stuff works, indoor and out. I wish more stores carried it. I wont use anything else. Handyman contractor
Great product for patching holes and cracks I plaster walls. Easy to apply and preparation for painting.

Not to be used as fast-dry mud substitute
Would Not RecommendGot this to smooth the surface after relocating some bathroom vanity lights and patching the former holes in the smooth plaster wall. I was running short on time and tried this instead of drywall mud since it dries faster and was on plaster. BAD application for this. It is quite hard and very dense making it incredibly difficult to sand it completely flat and smooth. Much different than drywall mud in this way.

White "Spackle"
Would RecommendThis is my "go to" spackle. A can is in my truck at all times. Spreads smoothly, dries in about an hour (depending on weather conditions). Sands smooth. no problems. My only wish is that it was packaged in a little smaller container. Sometimes it starts to get hard while in the can if I don't use it regularly.

Difficult to sand
I originally went to replace the DAP that I ran out of but this was suggested to me by Lowes staff. This was not the correct choice for my particular project. It is more of a mud than a patch. Very difficult to sand. I guess it would be good for heavy duty work.

Our Ready Patch 6-Pack 32-fl oz White Patching Compound is easiest to sand smooth after it has dried to the touch, which takes about 1 hour. This pr...

Fantastic Product !
Would RecommendI read the positive reviews and decided to purchase for my upcoming project (facia boards, siding repairs). I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The applies easier than any similar product I've ever used. It is so smooth that makes repairs was a breeze. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a good quality patching material. Can't say enough good things about it. I know I will always have a can around the house!
I've used the name brands for years and chose this because of the Rustoleum brand. It delivers. Used outside and on garage drywall in cold temps. Better than the name brands and cheaper too. Highly recommend.
worked good, slow to cure
Would RecommendPatched some rotten wood on a door frame. With cold weather it took several days to cure, perhaps the application was also too thick. Seems to have worked well though. Don't forget to prime it before painting.
Useless as an exterior product
Would Not RecommendUsed this product on the exterior wood siding of my house in southern CA after I had scraped off patches of old peeling paint and sanded. Several days later I applied a high quality primer and then two coats of a valspar paint+primer product. Within weeks, the joints I had filled cracked. Now, a couple of months later we experience our first measurable rainfall and a day later I see that the spots that were filled with this product have cracked and paint is lifting off surface. Worthless.
Let’s get to the bottom of this. There are a few things to keep in mind with Zinsser Ready Patch Patching Compound. While this product is suitable fo...

The best patching compound I've ever used
Would RecommendReady Patch is the ultimate for non traditional surfaces, and it's a bit off-white, not bright white and that is a good thing. I wouldn't say Low-Odor however when using indoors in a confined space, ventilation is necessary
Great for plugging holes
Would RecommendI had some wood that needed plugging so i used this and plugged that hole good. Real good so good that i called him back and plugged the hole again later that day
Very slow dry time
Would Not RecommendThe can says ready to sand and paint in 30 min. More like 6 hours - No faster than standard mud - I was very disappointed.
Outdoor raised bed repair
Would RecommendMH Ready Patch filled the cracks in outdoor wooden frames around raised garden beds. It dried quickly without shrinking and was easily painted with an exterior sealer. Cleanup was easy.

Very Strong Odor/Fumes!
Would Not RecommendNot real happy with applications properties, however the fumes will drive one out of the house!! NOT a product to use during cooler/cold weather!!!! And there is NO notice or warning on the can!!
Hmm. Rust-Oleum Ready Patch Patching Compound has a mild odor to it, but we do recommend any product to be used if proper ventilation can not be obta...
