What Customers Are Saying
The Yardsmith aluminum hose connectors have a mixed performance. Many users found them convenient and time-saving, with the quick-connect design being a standout feature. However, a significant number reported issues such as leaks, corrosion, and poor durability. Some noted the connectors are not made of brass as advertised, but a cheaper aluminum alloy prone to damage. Overall, the quality and reliability are inconsistent, and users recommend using Teflon tape and being cautious when mixing the connectors with other metals to prevent corrosion.

Would Not RecommendFitting was not brass at all, just anodized aluminum. Brand on label was was 'Yardsmith' with the same part number as the brass Gilmour. Not sure if it was an order picking mistake or if Lowes gets Gilmour to make a lower quality part for them. Either way I returned them all for a refund.
Use teflon tape
Would RecommendUse teflon on all male ends it may help leaks and corrosian
Quick disconnect basic
They called the solid brass come but they felt too light. When I installed one and it scratched it looked like it was white metal underneath. Maybe aluminum. But they do fit compared to another home store that had a poorly manufactured leaky quick disconnect.
Convenient!
Would RecommendEasy to install, ease of connecting various hose attachments!
