Disappointed
Would Not RecommendI set the key pad to open when I have my phone and in front of the door. The door does not open as expected. I am also disappointed that I have to purchase an additional item to open and close the door when I am away. For the price of the key pad it should be included.

Would RecommendLove the style and construction of this lock. It is actually the 3rd Yale electronic lock that I have installed on several homes. They work well and fit in well with a modern aesthetic.

Not out of the box wifi compatible.
Would RecommendLooks like it is wifi compatable when in fact the wifi module is not included but rather a $78 additional purchase. The unit is Bluetooth compatible which is how it is configured.

Stopped working after 9 months
Would Not RecommendI had this lock for 9 months when it stopped working. The keypad just one day stopped working. When it worked, it was ok. I had to reset the lock way too many times by taking the batteries out and putting them back in. Lowe’s refused to refund my money or replace the lock. I will not buy a Yale again and I definitely won’t buy anything from Lowe’s again with their terrible customer service. What a waste of $175.

Electronic Failure
Would Not RecommendI purchased this lock just over a year ago. It stopped working and I was informed that electronics are not covered under warranty and I just needed to purchase a new one. This lock is a bad investment unless you have money to blow.

Good lock, quick and easy to program
Would RecommendI have been a Yale smart lock user for few years now. I have installed more than a dozen of the original Yale keyless Assure locks in few of my apartment buildings and they all worked well. The Yale Assure Lock 2 is a test lock for a apartment and it worked well. I wish Yale had kept the voice response from original Assure. I also wish Yale would integrate battery backup in the keyed Assure 2 as well. The current phone app makes programming the lock quick and easy.
