Would RecommendWhen I purchased my yardmax tiller I knew this was a great investment! It's breaks up the ground like no other , can actually use one hand to make your garden rows. The side panels are adjustable, up and down so you won't damage crop next to where your tilling. Yes you should purchase one.
Well Built & Affordable with Great Features
Would RecommendWell built and rugged tiller with powerful Briggs & Stratton engine. Forward/reverse with tines disengaged. Controls very accessible for easy operation. Quick & easy assembly. Started on first attempt.
Decent machine
Would RecommendComes with some oil already in it so do not put the entire 17 ounces they send in it before checking oil level periodically. Very powerful. Will have to adjust clutch after a couple hours use most likely.Very simple to do just follow instructions. As mentioned in other posts shifting gears can be a learning experience. Worked up compacted clay farmland nicely.
yardmax yt4565
Would Recommendwe purchased this rototiller after waiting a few days for it to come back in stock. we couldn't be happier with the purchase. it came via fedex freight in less than a week. assembly was a breeze. it was only four bolts, add the supplied engine oil and gas and it was ready to go. after an hour of use i had no fatigue in my arms or hands. it is a heavy machine, and perfectly balanced. the ability to adjust handle height makes it perfect for my spouse and myself. overall we are really happy with ou...
Not good at all
Would Not RecommendHorrible product. A sunjoe 120 dollar tiller does the job better.

Seems great!
Would RecommendOnly used a couple times so far. Broke through some hard ground. Seems like a good machine!
Great Product
Would RecommendWe have a huge garden, and this bad boy really got in there and did what we needed it to do. Delivery was quick and easy. Would definitely buy another Yardmax product through Lowe's.
Love This Machine
Would RecommendI purchased this from Lowe's and to my surprise they had free delivery to my home. It took about 3/4 hour to assemble(nice the instructions tell you what size wrench each step). Even had no trouble filling with oil with my extra large hands. Took it to the garden (existing, was tilled last fall) The Yardmax went through it like a hot knife through butter. Did a fantastic jo. It took about 3/4 hour to assemble(nice the instructions tell you what size wrench each step). Even had no trouble fillin...
Great Dual Rotating Tiller
Would RecommendThe Yardmax YT4565 dual rotating tiller was easy to assemble. It started immediately and works smoothly for shallow cultivating in forward rotation and deep tilling in reverse rotation. An exceptional value for a dual rotating tiller. It even came with a funnel for adding oil.
Powerful Tiller
Would RecommendBe aware when filling with oil it already has a small amount in it. So do not put the entire seventeen ounces it comes with all at once. As mentioned on the reviews there is some difficulty in shifting the tines into forward and reverse but not enough of an issue to make it a deal breaker. Used it on compacted farmland and it did a nice job.
Good Quality Investment
Would RecommendProduct seems to be heavy duty and sturdy. Right size for our needs
So far so good for this YardMax 18" dual rotating
Assembly was easy. But the throttle cable is unnecessarily long, and I think the actual throttle lever attached to the handle bar is flimsy. Bolts on the assembled part of the unit were all snug, except for the four bolts on the OHV cover, which were all loose...to the point of backing out when the engine ran for a few minutes. I was really impressed that it started on the first pull! And since I can't use it yet....it is way too muddy in my garden spot, I can't make any remarks about it's ac...
Good investment
Would RecommendI used it once so far and it did great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had to tighten all the body screws before use.
Started on first pull!
Easy assembly, added gas and oil, and it started on the first pull. I ran it through all of the gears to check the operation and all was good. It’s not gardening time in East TN quite yet, but I ran it over a strip of field to check the digging. It was far from a true test, but it dug up the ground. We’ll know more in a few weeks.
Works great AFTER you get it started.
Years ago, I owned a lawn mowing service. I would buy small push mowers for the areas that the bigger ones could not reach. Mowers with engines made by anyone OTHER THAN Briggs and Stratton (BS) would generally last 1-1/2 seasons. But BS bought out their competition, and I could only find mowers with BS engines. Those mowers consistently would only last a month before the engine needed to be replaced. This Yardmax rear tine tiller has a BS engine. More on that in a minute. I bought this t...
Goes like a tank.
Would RecommendTook about 20 minutes from the unpacking to digging. Started 1st pull. Seems to be very solid. Very pleased so far.
Not too impressed
Would Not RecommendThis is my first time using a tiller of any sort. Bought one only and arrived at Lowes and picked it up Thursday. Not too impressed. First of all, the oil filler is next to impossible to fill it. It is hard to get to even with a skinny hands like mine. The funnel that came with it is too short to reach it. Have to improvise. Till it the first time today. It is too slow...even with forward tine rotation. Tilling depth is not deep enough (6.5 inches). It is only deep enough to unearth gra...
Great rototiller, some really nice features
Would RecommendThis machine is well made and even though I haven't used it yet, I am pleased with the manufacturer's quality build. I purchased it on October 30, 2020, but just unboxed it today 2/24/2021. It has some really nice features that I've not seen on more expensive rototillers, i.e., front turning and reverse turning tines, easy to adjust the depth of tiller with the turn of a handle, easy lock-in-place for both the depth stake and the drag bar (note; most other tillers I've seen only have a drag bar...
A Big Dudd
Would Not RecommendYou have to take out a lot of shipping bolts and replace them. After doing everything the manual said to do, it would not start. I even removed the spark plug and poured a little gasoline into its opening. It does not seem to be getting a spark.
