I bought this a about a week ago and there was no battery included and not even a battery housing that I could buy my own battery. This was the main reason for purchasing this system because it indicated when it was time to change filters. But I already had hole drilled to match up faucet in solid surface counter top and plumber scheduled. I ended up buying test kit strips for that. Leaks all over

The unit worked great for the first couple of years and now it's got four different leaks where the line goes out to the sink it cracked the yellow line is leaking at the compression fitting and the top of the unit has a leak not sure where it's leaking and the last filter is leaking as well

Very Cheap plastic faucet

The reason for a three-star is because the faucet that came with it is plastic and it has been loose from the beginning. It has only been in a few days now and it is getting looser and looser where it pivots I'm afraid it's going to start leaking or break. As for the filtration I had one prior to this that lasted for years and was happy with the filtration I'm assuming this one will do the same job.

Great water and product

I bought my unit in 2008 and I am having my first issue Drain plug is leaking and is not made anymore but the new type should work but my wife said buy a new one so I did

Lots of bang for your buck...

Purchased and installed on 6/19/2012 and it's 3/16/2024 and other than changing filters I finally have to replace the faucet due to one of the base screws breaking off. That was on me not the product. It's provided us with great drinking water in a area with terrible well water that is very high in iron. Awesome product that I would purchase again.

Quality and long lasting

I bought my first WHER 25 system over 15 years ago. And bought a 2nd unit 6 years after that only because where I had the tank, got a bit rusted because of a sink leak. Bought a 3rd one 2 years ago to install in my then girlfriends home(now my wife). All 3 units performed perfectly with no real issues. Looking for another one now as a backup system.

ticking time bomb to start leaking

Bad design, cheap plastic materials. No wonder Lowe's stopped selling this item. Probably due to dissatisfaction. One of ours took out four kitchen cabinets and created black mold while we were on vacation. If you have this, recommend removing and replacing with another product before you suffer same fate.

Reverse Osmosis

I replaced a 13 year old unit with same model It’s working just as well as I expected I have used under sink reverse osmosis filters since 2003 and I highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh clean water to cook, drink and water indoor plants

Defective products

I purchased this a couple years ago and constantly have issues with the overpriced filters being defective due to poor manufacturing. Constantly having low flow issues after following all manufacturing instructions for pressurizing the tank, cleaning flow valve etc. Usually the filters don't allow flow through them due to poor quality. I currently have 3 sets of ridiculously expensive filters that are brand new and don't function. Once you open the package, you own them whether they work or not....

Water flow stopped after replacing filters

I replaced filters every 6 months for 5 years, last time water stopped flowing. I tried every step advised via email but still no water. The Help tab in the website asks for model number but it doesn't recognize.

Cracked at Yellow Hose and Leaks

Unit was about three years old and developed a crack at the flange where the yellow hose attached. Ruined a cabinet due to the leaking.

Amazing tasting water

We have a community well so this assures us that we are always drinking water that has been properly filtered. The manifold that the filters screw into has started to leak. so I'm trying to find a replacement part.

Fantastic RO system

Purchased this RO from Whirlpool and it has worked great from 2019 til the present. The housing part was causing a leak recently and the Amazon water alarm sensors didn't catch it. (batteries) Fortunately, this is a 2017 manufactured home and I could literally work under the house to repair the damage to wood and insulation. Leak from dispenser vent hole

Our RO unit has been in use for 3 years. Suddenly for no reason water began leaking all over our wood counter from the key-shaped vent hole. My plumber had no idea what was causing it. The pressure tank has no valve so had to shut off the cold water to the sink. Now, thanks to your RO unit we are deprived of water in our sink.

Great filtering, poorly engineered

First, we love our ROS water. The filtering is great. However, we had issues with the faucet constantly leaking and causing water damage in our cupboards. We ha that fixed, then we noticed that water was leaking in the cabinet again. We found the connection was cracked and now causing more water damage in our cupboard. Unable to find the head end system to replace.

great for the first year

Initially the filter system worked well. Accepting that the process wasted 10 gallons for every one filtered we felt that the water was purified. When the storage tank failed and rusted we replaced it. Then when the faucet loosened due to rusted broken attachment screws.

Have had this unit for the past 23 years and am very satisfied with the performance.

This system is worth the money. Easy to use and change filters. Great tasting water. Made in USA.
