Although I thought I absolutely loved this machine, I just pulled out the soap tray and there is mold everywhere.

i bought this washer and dryer - load n go for my mother. she has progressively had worsening respiratory trouble. today i noticed black on the detergent dispenser and there was mold all inside. serious health implications!! DONOTBUY!!!

Excellent washer

Let me say that I bought my duet pair 10 years ago. I am just now having to replace the washer. The fact is these front load washers are so air tight that when not in use you leave the door cracked open. The at eliminates the mold problem ..I love my duet and am trying to find the replacement model for it. Any ideas?

Dispenser stopped dispensing detergent

I have had the load and go for 2 years and the load and go cartridge started filling with water. Ran several washes without softener to see if clothes had a clean smell and it didn’t. Called whirlpool and they sent me a new dispenser cartridge but the same thing happened. Called back and whirlpool couldn’t tell me what could be causing the problem and they don’t have any information on this happening before. Whirlpool parts couldnt help either. They only could tell me parts I could buy and try....

MOLD IN DETERGENT DISPENSER!!! Ugh!

Do NOT buy this washing machine. There is mold all throughout the detergent dispenser. I have to clean it about once a month, but the entire inside is covered in mold. Mold also collects on the rubber lining around the door. I am DISGUSTED that we paid for this piece of junk. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS. GROSS, Whirlpool.

Whirlpool Steam Black Diamond

The Steam Black Diamond, they works the money for. The cycles do not destroyed your clothes, dryers is very gentle with any kind of fabrics. Love my Whirlpool and always do.

Black mold! And error code E03 F01

We bought this washer in 2015 and keep having issues with error codes. After reading other reviews about black mold we checked ours and it’s covered in black mold!! This is a major health hazard and not acceptable. We had a Maytag front loader washer before with no issues. This washer is horrible. Just now we couldn’t get the door to unlock so my husband pulled the machine out, took the back cover off and the door became unlocked. Go figure.

Black mold issue

we have been battling severe black mold in the entire machine (soap area, inside area, drum, etc. It’s smells awful and is dangerous to our young family.

Mold Issues

Washing machine had some cool features that we liked so we purchased it. We have been fighting black mold in the detergent reservoir compartment shortly after our purchase to the present. This has to be a design flaw. Would not recommend this machine until the mold issue is resolved. I would rather be dropping pods in the washer then having the Load & Go feature and fighting black mold.

How does this work?

I wonder if this is manufactured right. The bleach compartment has no water sprayer over it according to the design. How does the bleach get to the clothes?

Less than five years old and doesn’t work

We bought this washer (minus a few features) in 2014. We have had mold all through the detergent dispenser, we keep getting sensor error messages, my husband did the daunting task of cleaning the front drain (why on earth is it designed so that you have to take the whole front of the washer apart to access the drain?!?!), and then it does one or two loads max and then gives the error messages again and stops working. I loved the ease of use but I am very disappointed that I am buying a new washe...

Also Mold in soap dispenser..

We were noticing black mold on the load and go dispenser within the first year since we bought Whirlpool washer, so we started to clean and leave the dispenser out of the washer to allow it to dry. Have been fighting this with bleach, vinegar, Whirlpool's cleaners, you name it - for years, still keeps coming back. Looking through these reviews it seems mold is a very common problem with Whirlpool Washers.. It cannot be normal. Yikes

The washer machine working well. And easy to use.

Love it. Never had mold...here's the fix.

I've had this washer for 3+ years and I absolutely love it. It spins the clothes super dry. I sometimes have to check to make sure they've been washed. I also love the refresh feature. I've left clothes in there for a day and had no problems. A washer repairman told me that mold comes from using liquid detergent, which has an oil base to it to keep it fluid. It's also what causes the drum to spell, since it collects on the back side. When we bought this washer, we have since only used powder ...

Mold in soap dispenser

We were noticing black mold on the load and go dispenser so we started leaving the dispenser out of the washer to allow it to dry. It kept coming back. Today we looked into the dispenser with the soap dispenser cartridge removed. yikes. Can someone contact us?

Black mold in detergent dispenser

I had the unit since 2015 and I was happy with it until I found black mold. Btw we keep the door always opened. This is in the detergent dispenser. I washed it few times over the past 6 months but could not understand why it was black again.... (Mindless washing, just took out the dispenser to rinse it). MOLD!!

We have constant mold in the dispenser despite taking the dispenser out between washes to allow to dry out. This can't be right or healthy & I'm assuming not good for our machine. I think this machine should be recalled. Sooo disappointing to spend money on a product & have this kind of thing happen. It works well but obviously, this mold thing is a major problem & concern.

Mold build-up, decent washer and features

The Front Loader works well, I have nothing negative to say about the features and functionality. Its the build-up of mold and having to replace hoses due to build up, makes it for an unpleasant experience and very smelly. I recommend the product IF the mold build up can be corrected. Again, it functions great, its the mold and stink that it gives off.
