Do not buy this fridge

Like most of the many poor reviews here and elsewhere on other retailer websites, the freezer frosts up and the fridge gets warm. Do not buy this fridge.

Not so great

Absolute junk

Worst appliance I have ever dealt with. A lemon. I spent hours getting a service call for warranty work. The tech said they have no clue whats wrong with it and replaced most of the components. It failed again. More hours on the phone with them. Hundreds of dollars in food spoiled EACH time. I asked for a replacement, they said no. I escalated to their executive team, they said no. I asked if they have read the reviews clearly there is an issue. Absolute junk I will never buy Whirlpool again!

Worst purchase ever made

Great Space for an office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bout this in Early July and we received it August 2 for our office Kitchen. It is 8" taller than what we had and it is very appealing in our kitchen.

Don’t do it, won’t last. Will Whirlpool help

Have had just over two years and have many of the same issues of water in the fridge, the freezer ices up and leaks down into the fridge. Then gets too cold and stops the cold from going into the fridge. Now the compressor is making noise and not cooling at all. Two years? What are you selling Whirlpool? With all these reviews I do wonder if you will stand behind your product? I will update after I hear from Whirlpool.

Listen to everyone else. Mine lasted 7 months. Absolute garbage and I will never buy anything Whirlpool again as a result.

This is a piece of crap...

Less than a year old. Had one call to replace motherboard in April. Here it is July and still less t July and less than a year old. One call in April for motherboard. Now its July 8 and doing the same thing. Also bought extended warranty. Loss 300 worth of food and they would not reimburse. So there is that. Again beginning the same forming solid ice in freezer even though vents have been kept clear. Defrosting into refrigerator and water everywhere. Do not buy.

Do not buy

I bought this fridge because it would fit in the space available in my mother’s suite in our house. Although you’re not paying a very high price, for the price it is still a piece of junk. Within not even a year, ice began to build up in the freezer and cause water leaks into the fridge. Then the fridge just stopped being cold altogether. I have the extended warranty and certainly hope that Whirlpool will take care of these issues. However, I would still never recommend purchasing this product.

Needs Better Layout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is the perfect size for what we needed. I wish it had less drawers and wider shelf spacing. Most of the shelves aren’t big enough to hold anything The actual usage of the item works as needed just not practical.

Disasterous

Terrible refrigerator! SHAME ON YOU WHIRLPOOL for selling such a piece of junk. Refrigerator doesn’t stay cold and water accumulates on shelves. Pan on back constantly fills with water. Worst investment I’ve ever made!!! Worst part is I can’t get anyone to fix the problem…

Must defrost to restore temperature balance

To many reviewers (like myself) who complained about temperature imbalance between upper and lower compartments, I now know the unit must be defrosted occasionally to rebalance the units effectiveness. Unplug and do a full defrost. Be ready with old towels. Depending on freezer frost level, a good deal of water will result in lower area. Once frost is melted, plug back in and set temp. Good as new.

Horrible product.

Horribly unreliable. It's less than 2 years old and already failing. Coolness setting on recommended. Main refrigerator compartment remains warm, while freezer deep freezes everything to sold bricks. Just such a waste of money. Plus, the shelving inside is pure insanity. With all shelves installed, there's no logic and no room for anything larger than a condiment bottle.
