It does stabilize.

The part that leans against the building could be a little longer to keep you away enough to clean gutters. OK for windows.

Will not fit with Werner fiberglass ladder

I was excited to get this ladder stabilizer but then discovered that it does not fit the Werner fiberglass ladder.

Where have you been all my life.

always thought this was more money than I could afford at the time. I got this because I was putting gutters on the house and wanted to get above them with the ladder. the stability this provided to the ladder, as well as the reach was amazing. only thing I would recommend is if leaning against the roof, as I was, secure a rag arround each end. it helps hold the rubber caps but adds a little more protection for the roof. won't climb a ladder again without it.

Bought this to power wash the house and clean the gutters. Made things so much easier to place the ladder and not damage anything. It really did stabilize it too.
