What Customers Are Saying
The Weber igniter kit is generally well-received, with most customers finding it easy to install and effective in restoring their older grills to full working order. The replacement part is reported to fit well, and the grill starts up easily after installation. However, some customers have experienced issues with the igniter components rusting or deteriorating over time, requiring periodic replacement. Overall, the igniter kit is considered a reliable and straightforward solution for reviving older Weber grills, though users should expect to replace it every 5-6 years with frequent grilling.

After trying a "Universal" that wasn't it was a pleasure to finally locate the Weber Genesis igniter. It has the same wire harness and gas collection box that proved reliable since the original purchase. The "Universal" was unreliable directly out-of-box (broken wire, round connectors for flat tabs, etc.) The extra five dollars was worth it.

Works perfectly
Would RecommendEasy to install, perfect fit. Price reasonable, just hoping it lasts as long as older Weber parts. Old one still worked after 15 years or more, but the shield was a bit rusted away.
