Power we've needed

We bought this a month ago and have pleased with the power. We have had gas powered trimmer in the past, but they are a pain to keep tuned and running. So we tried battery powered trimmers and they haven't had enough power to trim our tough grass and weeds. Our new 40V trimmer has the power we need and has no tuning or running problems, very pleased.

Mighty power in a small package

This trimmer is a beast at cutting anything in it's way. Easy to operate, not too heavy and comfortable to use with either left or right hand. I also own the 20V POWER SHARE GT REVOLUTION 12" STRING TRIMMER Item WG170.2 and it's fantastic, I use it for smaller jobs, but it can stand toe to toe with the bigger trimmers no problems. String Trimmer

I thought I'd give this a try not expecting much having owned battery powered trimmers in past. Boy was I surprised. This thing, although not quite as powerful as a gas trimmer really is impressive. It did everything I wanted it to do, and fast. The run time was about 45 minutes, more than enough time to edge and trim my 3/4 acre property. Recharge was about an hour. Hope this lasts as I'm very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic Trimmer

Light weight and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third Worx product that I've purchased. The WG 183 meets the needs of the homeowner when they want a trimmer to complete the lawn with a finished cut. The only improvement would be to include a replacement spool WA 0007 with in the bundle .

I have only used this trimmer one time so far. I was surprised of the power it has for a battery operated machine.

Batteries

I was VERY upset at the Battery Life. I have other Worx trimmers and Battery Life is MUCH Batter with them. Wish they would bring BACK the 32V Trimmer.

great but why

I have purchased both the wg180 and wg183.....love both of them. easy to use and lightweight so I am able to hold correctly. Concern is after replacing the 180 spool cap recently....I purchased the 183, used 3 times and the spool cap on 183 flew off. it came apart and I have had to order a new spool cap for it. Why is the spool cap and 4 refill spools available but the spool cap for 183 is out of stock......I purchased the spools iin my previous order. Thanks for your answer. Sue

Okay

I purchased the wrong one. I thought I was getting the one with the wheel. My sister loves the wheel. I wanted something easy on my shoulders. The string was not on correctly so I had to take that apart. I'm not happy with this. I'm sure it would be great for someone stronger. This is my error not the companies.

Light weight and so easy to use!

I bought this product a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! I opened the box and had it together within 15 minutes. I am a 71 year old woman and am thrilled with how easy it is to use and very light weight! Perfect purchase for me!

Good Quality trimmer

I was surprised by the power of this trimmer. Works just as good as my gas trimmer but way lighter to handle. I recommend buying spare batteries as backup.

Well balanced!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This string trimmer is very lightweight and balanced. I wish I would've bought this worx string trimmer a couple years ago. Instead I bought a slightly cheaper trimmer that has given me trouble since I bought it. This worx 40 volt trimmer has been trouble free the batteries last the hour it takes me to trim around the house and many trees in my large yard. I especially like the way it automatically feeds new line out as needed.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and it works great! More power than I thought it was going to have and it barely put a dent in the battery.

Extraordinary Trimmer

this Worx trimmer replaces a Black and Decker units that I was not ever happy with. the worx trimmer worked twice as long and was far more powerful. In the first trim of the season the dual batteries trimmed the entire spring growth. Weeds were literally blasted away, the tall grass was instantly trimmed down to the point the mower wasn't needed. I also like the balance allowed the handle to be the center of the load.

Plenty of power for my needs

I received my string trimmer with some reluctance because I owned a couple of other battery-powered units from a different maker and they just could not do the job. After a year new batteries did not hold a good charge. Power was lost rather quickly if the unit was challenged. So far this unit has plenty of power.
