40v trimmer

This was sent to replace a 56v trimmer you no longer carry, which battery time was much better. 40v. Seems like Im just gettinng started and it's done. So I use the 24v to get some more done. I expected battery time from the 40v. As far as recommendations if you have a small yard would be great.

Easy to use, even for a grandmother!

I love doing yard work and my new, battery charged cordless trimmer is easy to use and lightweight, and keeps my yard looking so nice. I just love it!

Disappointed!

I bought this trimmer less than 1 year ago and loved it. I had even recommended this to others! However, a couple weeks ago, the power started cutting out on a full battery. I discovered that the handle had cracked across right below the round start button for some reason! Perhaps the dual batteries are too heavy on the top end of it? I love this trimmer and hope for a response as to why this has happened. Hopefully. Worx will stand behind their product and compensate me for a brand new one as...

Great tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first battery powered string trimmer and it has been great! I'm very pleased with the power and the ability to cut longer grass and thick weeds. The batteries also last an acceptable amount of time for what I am doing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great Features

I bought this for my son. He really likes it. Makes his weed eating so much easier. We are disappointed at the high cost of replacement spools.

40 volt trimmer can cut some big weeds!!!!

I had a 20 volt WORX trimmer and loved it. I upgraded to a 40 volt (which used 2 of my same 20 volt batteries). Amazed at how much difference in power. Very light-weight to handle (I am 80 years old) and it plays havoc with the weeds!! We have several steep hillsides that we have to weed eat every couple weeks. String is very strong.

Extra power!

We bought this to handle tougher areas because it has more power and a dual string. It has not disappointed! We will not go back to a gas weed eater ever again!

Great trimmer

Easy to use and light weight

I can not believe that worx hasn't come up with a better idea for the cap that holds the spool on. They are forever having to be replaced. Try to find one in your local store, impossible.. The web site says it's out of stock. So it hangs in the garage.

Easy to use

I bought my first one 3 years ago and was very happy with it. The batteries didn’t keep charge so I purchased a new one. It is perfect for me,light weight for a small lady.

easy to use

I'm looking at purchasing a WORX WG 183 cordless grass trimmer. It shows an automatic feed in the diagram but in description it says it feeds 1/4 inch when started. Do you have to turn it off and on to feed the line or do you push the feed button to extend the line?

Powerful motor.

Plenty of power. More powerful than my old corded Toro. My only complaint is that it is not as easy as I think it should be to advance the trimmer line. It took a few pulls to get the line to feed at times.

Battery charger didn’t work

Normally I’ve had good luck with worx trimmers. This one took a long time to arrive via fed ex and then wouldn’t charge at all. Had to return and am still waiting on my refund.

Great trimmer for regular yeard work.

This trimmer is light weight, even with batteries in place - It feeds the 2 strings audimatically and it does a good job in grass that is not real heavy & thick. It will cut thicker grass but it takes a little longer. Not recomended for thick weeds, etc.

It ok

I bought this last summer. If you have Saint Augustine grass and edge sidewalks and driveways its not as helpful as I hoped. It edges the same as my regular worx weed trimmer. I will have to buy a gas power trimmer to edge. I'm a fan of worx products so just being honest with this review. It may be great for other grasses

Works Great - Battery Life Inadequate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The equipment is lightweight and easy to assemble but the battery only lasted 20 minutes which is not enough time even for a small yard.

Not too heavy....

I use it on an overgrown acre. Wish the battery life was longer, I only get 40 minutes a day but this growth is thick and rascally. Easy to lift and handle, good power, but you have to treat it right. Good balance of power and function.
