Great unit

We bought this unit for our apartment. Winters here are very cold and dry,and this unit has worked beautifully for humidifying our home.

The 2 gallon capacity is quite nice. If you let it run without refilling, it will completely dry out, which I consider a plus (no nasty water sitting in the bottom that doesn't evaporate). The wicks don't have any extra plastic or anything, which means less waste. On the eco setting it's pretty quite, otherwise it's louder than the previous humidifier I had (but not too loud). It seems to be built pretty well, feels solid. On my previous humidifier, the motor got "sticky", I tried oiling it...

Puts moisture into the air.

This humidifier seems to work well. It has a variety of settings. It does not have a reading of the current humidly in the room even though it has a humidistat built in which is used to turn the unit on and off when it reaches or drops below the humidity setting you put in - however - a humidistat in the room reads much lower than the setting the humidifier is set at when it shuts off, so we cannot be sure how accurate the humidistat in this is. The air does not feel as dry as it does when we do...

Just right for my 1060 sq. ft. house

Solid piece of equipment like other products, fan etc that i have bought from this vendor. Very quiet operation. Ocasional gugling as it sucks up water from its tanks. Not a big deal. Definitely would buy it again.

Great humidifier

Nice and quiet especially in energy saver mode. Water tanks are easy to fill. Does a good job of putting moisture in air with easy to use controls.

not as effective as my Vornado ultrasonic humidifiers (at the quiet setting at least)

i returned this item for a few reasons: 1) my place is very dry and i need to run humidifiers around the clock. this unit is louder than Vornado's ultrasonic single tank and less effective (humidity levels stayed below 40% on the low and middle setting); 2) no matter how much i checked that the unit was level it would only draw water from one tank. i had to swap the tanks (not convenient) or tilt the machine considerably to get the second tank to empty; 3) the auto shutoff did not seem to work a...

Good Buy

I already had two single-tank units and wanted the dual tank one to increase the time between refills. I set this next to my bed, where it provides some white noise. It does its job and doesn't leave the surrounding furniture wet. All in all, a very good purchase.
