We have lived in old houses for 34 years. Mice are just a part of life as winter approaches in the Northeast. No big deal. Just bait the cellar and crack skulls as needed. For whatever reason, this year has been particularly active. Since we adopted a rather small dog I thought I would forego the old-school cranium crushers for his safety. I bought two of the Zapper units, followed directions(yes, I installed batteries), baited the traps, armed the devices and put them in appropriate place...

Multiple Humane Kills

Definitely works as advertised! I love the fact that it is a multiple use trap with a clean, effortless kill. We had/have an infestation, and this trap keeps on getting the mice. Our cats are a bit miffed that they are not able to chase mice around the house to play with before they kill them - but I'm not complaining! The only thing keeping me from rating it five stars is that the "kill" light does not seem to trigger every time there is a dead mouse in the trap. However, I cannot rule out ...

Works like a charm!

Saw a mouse in the kitchen last night...first one I've seen in decades. Bought this little zapper and placed it by the rubbish barrel in the kitchen. Went to work, came home 8 hours later and it was blinking! Got him on the very first day and it's so simple to unload the dead mouse. A little peanut butter in the back inside corner near the metal plates and close it, turn the button to "On" and your ready to get rid of those pesky little critters! Love it!

Bait taken, no mouse

The batteries were installed, peanut butter placed where directed trap was set. The capacitor charged and the trap was placed where old wood traps had been successful. The trap was checked the next morning....The bait had been licked away and no dead mouse. I'm not sure but believe that if the mouses feet were wet the mouse would have been shocked but if dry would not conduct the electricity. I returned the trap for a refund and replaced with a more conventional trap.....two mice caught in one ...

Electronic mouse trap

bought one before, worked, but mouse was very choosey with bate. he liked cheddar chips. the trap killed him.

No Mice

I should have suspected that this was not going to be a winning mouse trap when no Lowes anywhere had it in stock. I was encouraged to purchase 4 of them but ordered 1 to test first. It has caught no mice at all. My wife purchased a set of other mouse traps over the internet and they have caught 8 mice sitting next to this little box. I would not recommend this trap at all.

Victor Mouse Zapper - Highly Effective

This unit is highly effective. It works well with Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries. It is highly recommended.

Neat idea

Great concept, I just wish the opening was a little bigger. I have a big mouse and I’m not sure he will fit in the trap. For small and medium mice I’m sure the trap is adequate.

Victor Zapper looks good but no mice trapped

I purchased the Victor mouse zapper electronic mouse trap anticipating some quick kills on mice in our home. I used peanut butter for bait and even added some on the entry hole and no mice entered the trap after 10 days even though we saw mice almost nightly in our home. Needless to say I returned the trap for a refund. Very disappointing.

Works...sometimes

I keep one of these traps in my house, just in case I see a mouse or droppings. When it works, it works. The only issue I have is that sometimes the indicator light doesn’t work so therefore my son has to check it everyday. It’s been like a month and not one mouse.

Nice alternative

It’s powered by batteries and there are two contacts in the bottom. So it electrocutes them. I have had one killed yet. I think I might have killed all of them before I got these. Only problem I noticed was when you bait the trap with peanut butter, this attracts ants.

Perfect kill

Had 5 mice in the house and pantry and eliminated all of them in one night.Hint- want to keep mice out of pantry and closets,use drier sheets.Works great.They can't handle the scent/ Servpro

Peanut butter is gone... but no mouse to be found

Thought this would be a good way to handle my mouse problems, boy was I wrong. I loaded this sucker with new batteries and peanut butter. Didn't get anything the first few days so I looked inside... and no peanut butter left... but no mouse. Tried it again... and peanut butter was gone and no mouse.

Best traps I've used

I have used many different traps and these have been the best ones I've used. Can usually catch a mouse within a day or two of seeing it. Even caught a bug in it once. Will never use another of the spring traps again.

Easy installation

Installed within minutes. Haven't caught a mouse yet. We will see.

Worked within 24 hours

I usually use the human mouse traps and take the mice down into a field and leave food with them so they forget where they came from. But this one mouse kept eating the black oil seeds in the trap and gone in the morning. So I thought this electronic mice trap was not human but the mice would not suffer and I do not want to poison them because of the wildlife around our home. I bought new batteries to make sure it would be 100% effective. I used a little tiny amount of peanut butter as shown...
