Broken design, cut my finger

Bought these yesterday. Something happened since the last ones I got about 2 years ago. The trigger metal is too short now regardless where on the 'Firm' to 'Sensitive' scale you try to align it to. The first trap I tried to set the metal staple holding down the spring came out as I tried to set it and the main snapper hit my finger and split the skin open. There is a huge quality and safety issue in these. They should be recalled.

Won't set; get the metal pedal version

I just used 4 of the metal-pedal version; easy to set, killed a mouse with each trap. These plastic-pedal version won't stay set; either the metal bar is too short and/or the plastic is too slippery to keep the bar in place. Get the medal version.

Not like the non-plastic baited ones

HORRIBLE! Hard to set and even with added peanut butter, doesn't work like the old tested and true version. The old ones which I am almost out of catches mice and haven't caught a single one in this version. DO NOT BUY

Scream and Cuss

If you like to scream and cuss after repeatedly snapping your fingers trying to set one of these traps then you are in luck! These things spontaneously snap. I literally threw them in the trash. Do yourself a favor and buy the excellent ones with the metal trigger. They work. These don't.

Rip off.

Bought these yesterday and set two out last night. Both were tripped but neither had a mouse in it. The Yellow pad is too big and too sensitive allowing the mouse to trip the trap without getting far enough on the pad for a kill. One would think that a mouse trap manufacturer would know how to make a mouse trap. What a joke.

Recent batches of these mousetraps are defective

For years, these were my "go-to" mousetraps. Although they could be a little finicky to set, they worked. I would keep multiple packs of these traps on hand, ready for the next mouse in my house. Whenever I used a few, I would purchase one or more new packages. Something has changed, though, in the past year or so. Hair Trigger with the power of a Hemi

Very sensitive trigger but will decapitate any mice that come near. In all seriousness these traps have performed better than any other brand we tried for our garage. Throw on some peanut butter and let the trap do the rest.

Won't set -or stay set - consistently

Just bought these then watched their YouTube video on how to set them. The comments on YT are pretty much are either that they work great or that people had to do something to modify them or two out of three worked. Sounds like Victor has a quality control issue. I stopped at trying to get two to work. The first one just wouldn't set at all. The second one set on the firm side but 30 seconds after I placed it, it sprang itself. Who says you can't build a better mouse trap? I do. These things are garbage. They should have kept the metal trigger.
