What Customers Are Saying
The product has mixed performance, with some users finding it effective at catching mice, while others reported significant issues. The main problems cited include difficulty setting the traps, premature or failed triggering, and safety concerns. Customers seem to prefer the older, metal-based mouse trap designs over these newer plastic versions, and the general sentiment is that the product is unreliable and not worth the purchase.

Worthless
Would Not RecommendThese things are worthless. Couldn't get the trip rod to hold the bail back, snapped my fingers. Good thing they were only a few dollars. Will not buy these again. Only reason for the one star, it wouldn't let me submit without it. Otherwise, no stars.

A better mouse trap?
Would Not RecommendA 100 year old company that has been successful for all these years decides to go away from the tried and true wire and wood traps in order to use a pre scented piece of plastic? I think not.
5 stars
Would RecommendExcellent value for a good product.

back to an old fashion mouse trap
Would RecommendI got mice in my kitchen due to the mouse turds on my counter. I tried 2 TOMCAT glue traps and didn't catch anything. I'm using one of these now. I dang near got my thumb whacked setting it. Too much peanut butter on the trigger sets it off. I had to scrape some off to get it to set. No luck with the peanut butter- gonna try some other food. I did put out chocolate and almonds for them, so maybe I already got them?

Victor Mouse Traps vary in utility
Would RecommendVictor has two styles of basic mouse traps. One with the yellow paddle and bait well; and another with a bait clip that is harder to load and set (IMHO). The yellow plastic paddle type has caught more mice for me than the other clip type. Lowe's purchaser had bought a S___ Load of the type I don't like. So, next time I find Victor mouse traps with the yellow plastic paddles, I'll buy as many as they have.

Do not waste your money
Would Not RecommendThese traps are extremely poor quality. I ended up throwing them away. I used to have great luck with these, but like so many products on the shelves these days, quality has gone way downhill.

This is NOT a better mouse trap
Would Not RecommendI used the old fashioned Victor snap traps for years with great success. I tossed my old ones when I moved to my new house. I bought these thinking they would do the job. With these, the mouse ate the food off three traps without triggering the devices. So, now I have a well-fed mouse still running around my house.
We're sorry to hear about this! If you test the trap (carefully!) with a pencil or something similar, does it trip properly? If it does, try bai...
hard to set
trip wire will not stay on, very hard to set. I will look for the all metal, no plastic.
