Primer

I'm such a huge fan of this primer. I have used it on all of my rooms. It covers oil based paints amazingly and makes painting a complete breeze when using this primer!! I absolutely recommend this product!

I like it

Used this on a screend in front porch in Florida. The primer is very thick and I found it easy to apply with a regular 1/2" nap roller. I used 1 coat over a previously painted concrete floor. I only let it dry for 1 hour at about 65 degrees with about 60% humidity. I then topcoated it with 2 coats of Valspar porch and floor paint. It got rained on the next day but has held up well despite less than ideal conditions. A week later I had to scrub the porch to remvove melted cat litter with no adver...

bonding primer

I didn't realize a pre primed ready to paint may not be so. Primed with oil paint & wouldn't accept the latex paint. Once I put the bonder on I was able to paint easily and am now assured my paint will stay on.

Great product for those hard to keep paint on surfaces, like brass and paneling

It's primer, and it works just like it should. Buy with supreme confidence it will indeed prime whatever you intend on priming.

Good product

I used this bonding primer to prep trim that has previously been varnished. It was easy to use and easy to clean up! worked well and now my dark cherry stained wood trim is a lovely, modern white.

Ugly color cover

Tinted primer to cover a bright lime green so we could paint the wall white with a blue accent wall. One coat was all we needed. Very pleased with results.

Excellent when changing from gloss to flat paints

Used this to cover a very dark glossy paint. Two coats and the walls were like new.

I used this primer to paint over dark paneling in my basement. It glides on smoothly, and dries quickly.

I have used primers before, but I really like this one. It went on smooth, stayed on my brush and didn't run all over the place. Sealed up the woodgrain nice.

Great coverage

We used this on dark work paneling before painting it a light yellow. Everything was completely covered and we only needed one coat of the yellow paint.

Used on peeled previously painted concrete In very bad condition. Worked great

Outstanding primer

We purchased this primer on the recommendation of the Paint Dept Manager at our local store. We had originally bought Bullseye 1-2-3 and Kilz, this based on some reviews of the Kilz product. The manager disagreed and recommended the Valspar bonding. Part of the project was covering over wallpaper (very well put on) and stained vanity cabinets. While I kinda thought we may have purchased cream-colored peanut butter rather than primer when we opened the can (it is very thick), it did go on smo...
