What Customers Are Saying
The countertop bolt kit received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to use and helpful for installing countertops, while others reported issues with the quality and durability of the bolts. Several customers noted the bolts were too small, requiring specialized tools to tighten properly, and some said the bolts stripped or broke easily. The included glue was also criticized as ineffective. Overall, the product seems functional but of lower quality, requiring extra effort and tools for proper installation.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.counter top was bowed and corner had gap
Would Not Recommendcounter top was bowed on 1 corner and the angle corner had 1/4 in gap at the front of the meeting of them THEY are cheap. Had already purchased it and cut it to size, I would have taken it back. But a 10 ft counter top is also a hassle to return. and the 1/4 slit it the angle cut was obvious. It's going in rental property, but still expect it to look professional!

poor product
Would Not RecommendGlue does not work well and when you tighten bolts down they strip out with no pressure at all. JUNK

Very weak product
Would Not RecommendLess than half the diameter of older bolts removed from previous countertop. The size of the nut was also an odd size. The best advice is to salvage and reuse the older bolts.

So far so good.
Would RecommendThe product looks pretty good in my kitchen, is less expensive than other options (ie composite or quartz), is lightweight and installs easily. I have only had it a few days, time will tell about durability. The one thing I do not understand is why this particular design was much higher in price than any other laminate pattern they had at Lowes, including patterns that were just as complex in their design but just a different set of colors. It seems they do not need to charge $50 to $150 dollars...

Nice and affordable countertop
Would RecommendI like the value and look of the countertop. I did not like having to mix up the glue as I had not done that previously and did not know what the consistency should be. I had purchased a countertop previously and the glue came in a tube which was much simpler for a DIY individual. Finished product looks great.

Glue doesn't work, cheap bolts, no nuts included
Would Not RecommendCutting and installing your own counter top is not an easy project, but it doesn't have to be difficult because of a product like this one. After all the challenges of measuring, cutting, and fitting, I thought the miter and bolts would be straight forward - mix the glue, apply to counter top edges, install the bolts, and make adustments - but this was not the case. The bolts are very cheap, and no nuts are included to help tighten them. The heads of the bolts are so small I had to use needle no...
Reduced Quality - Makes Belanger Line Useless
Would Not RecommendBolt kits are used to hold 45 degree angle cuts together. Current kits are made from cheaper base metal and screw and plates strip when tightened. I had one kit from two years ago and the bolt size has been reduced and the plates have been reduced in thickness and seem to be made of cheaper material. The kits are essential for the mitered pieces - they do not work - so the Belanger pre-made countertops become useless. DO NOT BUY!
